Dion forgot to sign out, or he's chilling there.

 

his tracker hasn't moved, but might be a decent option to rest if its hot

 

He has left now, 10 min behind Mike. He stopped for about 2h10.

Yes, and apparently a fair amount of fence hopping and gate open & closing.

no fence hopping, unless they are lost! But there are gates!

from what i can see he is about 2hours 15 mins ahead of the men's record.

 

good going, top3 all within that limit

RB's usual MO is to go hard\attack & see who responds and can come with, he will then work together with that person, if not he'll just tempo on his own.

Guess he usually ends up riding alone then

Ram is now about to leave the ground road onto a farm road section ,this is one of the most technical sections on the route.Then into a sandy dry riverbed.Lots of us crashed there last year.Then back onto ground road to Sutherland.

 

Wow the distance he has covered is just next level.

those tail winds are making a HUGE difference.

 

and for the backmarkers it will turn into a HUGE headwind in the next 24-48 hrs

I chatted to Danie Du Plissis in Britstown.He said it was cold last night and windy.He is riding for Smile Foundation he was also born with a cleft palet like me.Go bud ,,,he says he is starting with ITB ,yo I hope it does not get too bad.
