I went to a store this morning for some NCR stuff.

They didn't have what i was looking for on the shelf but stock showed they had in the back for online store.

Manager told me to go to his office and order online and while i was doing that he went and fetched me the items.

Although I categorically stated i will not use CWC, after doing a comparison between CWC and CRC I found the items I needed locally at the price on par and slightly cheaper than CRC.

Given the issues with Skynet, I opted to buy local.

Ordered friday, paid seleted the R100 shipping option, and I am still waiting.

Placed a second order for tyres on saturday, and this is still in transit.

Tracking shows that the items only landed in JHB today, which means I will hopefully get it tomorrow. (we are only at work till 12 tomorrow...which I suspect will cause more woes for me receiving my parts....

So, can I say this will be the last time.

I did compare Evobike's prices, and CWC was still cheaper, and had the stuff I needed.

is it CWC's fault? probably not, more dawn wing. but the whole experience left a bitter taste...

The longest a CRC order has taken, was 4 days (including weekend)

Rapide, received my order on saturday morning, somehow had the wheels build up, to be delivered mid day tuesday...

Definitely Dawn Wing, as long as it was logged on their system early enough. They are generally good, I have even fetched things from their depot before on a Saturday when I don't want to wait until Monday.

Must say, everything seems to be slower after BF. I ordered a camera lens on Monday, eventually got shipped by the shop last night at 8pm, and only got picked up by Aramex at 2pm today. . .  Given up getting it before the weekend. Even though they assured me it would be in my hands tomorrow.

Just got off the phone with Dawn Wing. lady couldn't tell me why it spend two days doing nothing on their floor in CT, and today again in their warehouse, sitting pretty.

Guaranteed me delivery before 12pm tomorrow. we shall see.....

This is kind of like when you have a chat with someone at work, come to an agreement face to face, and then they ask you to send them an e-mail about what you just chatted about.

How many times must I say it people..... EVOBIKES

Disappointed me a bit. Had something advertised, checked to confirm stock etc only to be told "the item is incorrectly priced".

No hard feelings, but I'm sure even Pick 'n Pay has a price you see is the price you pay policy.? LOL

So Dawnwing delivered at my office, at 7:55 pm.

I hope the security guard is not a cyclist... If you see one with 2 new 105 clusters and wtb trailboss tyres...drop me a pm

Ya, a Dawn Wing Tannie arrived at my office late this arvie with my tyres looking very tired and flustered, bitching about all the customers who were not there to sign for delivery today. I think the BF hype has stretched their resources some, but I am still impressed with them and CWC.

Not to long ago there was a discussion regarding stock arrival from CWC. If I recall the basic thread rang along the lines of, it left the warehouse, so now it is your problem. Personally I have a major issue with this. It is the sellers responsibility to make sure their chosen delivery mechanism, arrives in the allotted time frame AND it should not be your job to follow up. You did not buy from the courier, you bought from the supplier.

BUT, I do know lots of companies have that little disclaimer that they hide behind that they dont take responsibility for the courier. Sheer nonsense!

I will apologize on their behalf. I ordered stuff they didn't have and already have it. I guess every company has their faults. It must have been pretty wrong if Naas could not have made it work. Apologies from me Sir.

I think you've earned 10% off your next order. :)

No, not quite. Pnp has a "double the difference" policy, whether the item is more expensive or cheaper, they pay twice what the difference is!

Things have changed. When CWC was still owned by Chris Willemse, he would have jumped on to thread, apologised for the problem and offered some freebee of sorts.

The customer would have been happy and a lot of goodwill would have been earned, attracting even more customers.

Cyclelab should have adopted Chris Willemse's business model and not visa versa. He seemed to be so much better at it
