CASSIE1975 Posted December 5, 2018 Share Not sure if it has been mentioned in another Forum, but did see this earlier today.Wonder if it has been seen in SA the last few weeks? GP 5000 in Clincher and TUBELESS tyres would be interesting to have some LOCAL testing done. https://www.continental-tires.com/bicycle/tires/race-tires/grand-prix-5000https://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/article/continental-gp-5000-tl-specs-pricing-53229/https://granfondo-cycling.com/continental-gp-5000-test/https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/road-bike-reviews/continental-grand-prix-5000-2018https://bikerumor.com/2018/11/07/continental-gp-5000-tl-goes-tubeless-finally-new-modern-benchmark-road-tire/ Dirkitech

Furbz Posted December 5, 2018 Share the claims are bold, and likely true. Grand Prix 5000 vs 4000 SII12% better rolling resistance20% better puncture protection-10g lighter [25-622]Increased comforti have never had a days trouble with my GP4000Sii tires - best in the businessi think my current set have done 3000km plus and are still looking good.not a single puncture.once my current set are dead (and my extra set of GP4000Sii tires are also dead) i will try out the GP5000's. if they are as good as the GP4000ii then they will be fantastic. Andreas_187 Posted December 5, 2018 Share I heard it might be arriving SA in Feb next year. Looking at CRC they are £60 compared to £32 for a GP4000 Edited December 5, 2018 by Andreas_187

The GP 4000 II tyres have always been good to me...if these are better (as claimed) then they should be a HOT seller. Many happy miles for the guys going to fit them soon...enjoy!!! MDJ Posted December 5, 2018 Share Awesome, please confirm its the tubeless version as per the link and price below? https://www.evobikes.co.za/tyres/road-tubeless-tyres/continental-grand-prix-5000-tl-folding-tyre-700-x-25c.html It won't let me order on the website else I'd buy two right now, looking forward to testing them out - hoping to restore my faith in tubeless road tyres .
