UCI DH World Cup 2019 Season

Hannah sandbagged worlds, i'm pretty much convinced of it. No excuses now. She has great mental fortitude. The past world cup season has seen her take some big stacks during practice  and still going on to win the weekend. Nothing puts doubt in your head like a big crash.

Loic has that freakish BMT and odds are, he will take it and the title. in the latter regard, the one that can pip him to the post is Brosnan, but he is no real threat for the title, as it requires two very bad results for both Bruni and Pierron. That's asking for a lot to go wrong. But Brosnan could win this particular race, as the trio of Bruni, Brosnan and Pierron turned out to be this season's form favorites by far.

Yup. The mental aspect is a big one.

"That was a hard day, very dissapointed. @rachybox Is right when she told me managing the overall isn't easy. I don't know why but didn't have it in me to go for it today, had two huge crashes this week and it kind of put me off pushing my absolute limit. The first thing I thought as my head hit the ground was ' I need to race the final world cup ' some races just don't go the way you really really want them to go. One race to go and I'll be refocusing for that, it's been a hard day for me but I know it's ok. I hope you guys never give up and continue to be inspired by my option to not give in. Thanks for following me and supporting me even through the tough ones. ❤  @davetrumporephoto // thank you to my team @ur_team and my mechanic @jamietilbury for working so hard this weekend and this season. And to my sponsors for standing by our team // @polygonbikes @kendatireseurope @ethirteencomponents @alpinestars @kmcchain @ilabb @srsuntour_inc @fast.suspension @galfer_brakes @trickstuff_official @promaxcomponents @odigrips @fiveten_official"

She looked super down on the team vid afterwards, but looks much better now in the track walk. Practice looks good and she should be able to get the result for the overall, although she might hold back a bit to not crash out.

Any of the top guys could win. I'm hoping Troy gets the win he deserves, or Minnaar.

So the season is about 5 months long...

No wonder VD Poel can add it to his other disciplines.

Yeah, the overall is Hannah's to lose.

The men's is going to be a freakshow, with Bruni and Pierron putting it all on the line.

It's a shame that qualifying won't reveal too much about who's on pace, as there's no point on the line.

Just watched Cathrovision of mostly B-Practice, which are the mortals that would still kick our asses. They struggle! Im very glad I dont have to ride on those slick rocks. Its nightmare material.

Quick question, I downgraded my DSTV and want to watch on Redbull tomorrow. It was only the Worlds that wasn't available to SA right?

Bruni Is a deserving winner and an absolute Pro, I wont mind if he takes it or the overall.  But My heart is rooting for GOAT!!

Just saw this in the latest Cathrovision: one rider overcooked the rock to rock gap and managed to break the fork arch on his SR Suntour RUX.

Haven't seen something like that in a long time.

Edit: derp! Cathro covered it in the video.

the very short clip by the track marshal showing the guy ragdolling into that tree was sickening. I was very surprised he wasn't badly hurt.

the rockshox sticker on the left leg made me think it was a RS fork.
