It is believed that it is the way the early Polynesians navigated their canoes across the Pacific. They basically hooped from island to island and they knew that if there was a cloud regularly in the same place, there must be land. Then they had someting to aim for even if they could not see the island.

Good thing they didn't use that approach to Bikini Atoll later on.

Are Denel testing engines ? 

 

Being at home for the last week or so its now become a regular thing to hear a Jet engine being put through its paces.

But it seems to be coming from Denel and not ORT.

The French can really build high quality equipment and weaponry,not to mention Nuclear Plant, and the rest.

 

True. Some of the best ships in Nelson's fleet were French prize ships.

But it seems to be coming from Denel and not ORT.

There are a few maintenance organizations that side now that have become more active. Safair obviously now have a lot more aircraft that they flying and maintaining. Lift are using Globals aircraft and they are also that side. Even comairs other service provider, lufthansa is that side.
