partydave Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 No issues with Livetrack on my Huawei Mate 10 and Vivoactive 3. Been using it for a while and not a hiccup so far
The Ouzo Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 So after bragging in this thread that I've never had an issue with livetrack it happened. Saturdays commute to work did not synch, opening the connect app on the phone showed no device connected.Bluetooth off and on - NothingRestart phone - it connects and synchs. Chatted to the wife during the day and she says she never got the email for livetrack. I just assumed that because it had not connected to the phone that that is why it did not send. The commute home i was in a rush so did not check, only later in the evening did I realise that the device did not synch to the phone. Also no livetrack email. Sunday I made sure the device was connected before my ride. I started the ride and about 30 seconds later the device beeped at me to say livetrack failed. Not sure how to fix this.Last night the garmin did an update and I've updated the software on my phone. will need to do some tests to see if that fixed it.
DieselnDust Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Nothing will fix it. You'll just have to live with not knowing if your rides will sync via bt in future. My garmin refuses to sync on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. The other days it's fine. It's really strange.
mecheng89 Posted February 12, 2019 Author Posted February 12, 2019 It works 100%. I also have a Samsung s9. Besides obviously having your bluetooth on to your head unit, you MUST activate your location on your phone. You won't have issues after this. I had the same issues when I only used bluetooth.Tried this, made no difference. At the end of my tether!
DieselnDust Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Tried this, made no difference. At the end of my tether! Unpair the Edge form the phone, wipe the app and start again. its probably the only thing that may work.or get an iPhone. There seems to be far fewer problems with iOS users than Android
Rocket-Boy Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Nice! Never knew you could do it on WhatsApp. Very powerfull for our Family Chat group to make sure where people are when you need them.Been using it for a while and its great. If anyone in the family is travelling by road its a requirement to post the live location. I use it for cycling too to send to my wife so she can make sure everything is fine.
ct_rider Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Tried this, made no difference. At the end of my tether! Your must first put on your head unit. Once it has loaded, then you switch on the bluetooth and location. I found when I put on the bluetooth and location first and then the head unit after, it also sometimes does not connect. Hope this helps.
robsc Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Had endless problems with mine until i updated to GCM 4.15 , this mornings ride tracked perfectly . The last version that worked okay was 4.8
The Ouzo Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 So an update on this.Somewhere along the line my iPhone has updated firmware, Garmin connect app has updated and my edge 130 has updated. One of these or a combination of them has fixed Livetrack. Having always been activating it manually since the issue started, yesterday i decided to give the auto activation a chance. Hit got on my edge and a short while later it beeps saying livetrack started. Let see how long it lasts.
