samson99 Posted February 12, 2019 Share Fellow hubbers, I am going camping this weekend at the Doringlaagte camp site in Montagu. I got the green light to cycle both days. Are there any mtb trails around there? If you have any gpx or information, that would be greatly appreciated.

Rob Fanucchi Posted February 12, 2019 Share Hi-jacking the thread here. Im also headed to Montagu for the weekend but dont have too much time to be out riding all day.So I was looking to head out early on the road bike on one of the mornings. I was thinking of heading out towards Barrydale and Tradou pass and back. Does anyone know how safe it is for one to head out by themselves on these roads? Are there any groups that ride in the area? Thanks.

I think the best option from Doringlaagte is to take the gravel road out to Ouberg pass and back. Doringlaagte itself also have some jeep track trails but I haven't tried it out myself yet. Dogs Posted February 12, 2019 Share This ride to Pietersfonteindam was also not too bad - rather go out from Baden road than R318 (I did not know it at that stage)
