The Ouzo Posted March 1, 2019 Share I'm a recent foam roller convert.I've read about them on here and elsewhere in the past, looked them up to see what they were about but never bit the bullet to buy one. I always just massaged my legs with a tennis ball. Also only ever thought about using them on my legs. Then the other I was at Dischem and saw they had one left on the shelf, price was about right so i bought it. What a revelation. Not just on the legs, but the upper back/neck/shoulder region where I have suffered for years with pain. May wife could never massage and manipulate the area properly and only every now and then I'd find a massage therapist that would work the area right. But the first time on the foam roller and all the right places clicked and all the right places got massaged. i now roll twice a day and feel so much better for it. But the point of this thread is to find out if anyone travels with their roller and how they go about packing it.I know that after the flight to Cape Town next week I'll need a massage, and after the "fun ride" it would be nice to have the roller to work things out. I'm thinking to just wrap it in a towel and shove it in my luggage. but it is a bit bulky, I'm sure I could manage.Has anyone got a better idea ? Mudsimus Posted March 1, 2019 Share I take mine every where. I have a half size hollow one that I strap to my back pack or pop in a bag. I have a massage stick also, but it almost got confiscated in Nairobi.

Works just as well if you do each leg individually. Milosh and Dirkitech
shaper Posted March 1, 2019 Share Read up on using a tennis ball to massage, much easier to fit in the suitcase! Can also use 2 tennis balls and some duct tape to create a roller. Karman de Lange Posted March 1, 2019 Share My roller is like pipe, so just pack clothes/towels inside it and then into the case, takes up no extra space... might even sneak wine bottle in on way back
