Sweet build looks great just needs a shorter stem.

I'm sure you are right, but I grew up on 620mm bars and 130mm stems - so I'm getting there in my own time. :)

epic machine man, i would sleepnext to that any night lol.

also meh..not everything is a endurobro bike lol...so this short stem business is all relative to what the purpose will be, not to mention taking effective stem length in consideration.

if you have 0*/ 5*/ 9*/15* or even 20* backsweep, even the same numbers in different brands...that all effects your effective stem length.

I for instance run a 80mm stem paired with 15* backsweep bars at 760mm for more hand comfort, which effectively puts my hands where a 50mm stem did with less sweep.

have a read, interesting stuff:

sounds like you  need a bike with 15mm more reach so that you can run a 35mm stem

I thought short stems solve all handling problems. Even the ones I didn't know I had. I've even fitted a 50mm to my TCR to better handle the gnar I throw at it.

 and all my 'handling problems' will be solved.

But i'll just reverse the stem and bars.

Pretty sure i can get -35mm effective for perfect handling.

well if you go by the roadies' views on disc brakes -  basically riding with circular saws at full blast strapped to your frame - and Carmageddon'ing (for all you 90s gamers) the peloton into shreds...then i guess a bicycle can be considered a weapon :P

Haha! Man I loved that game!

Let be fair to roadies.....They do ride at 45-90km/hr so those disc brake rotors are rotating very much faster and they ride a lot closer together so falling on top on someone elses bike is more a reality than just bad luck.

And I loved that game ....in my brief interest in computer games

Of course you've got handling problems. You need a magic mary to solve everything else the stumpi stem can't solve

Is it the Mary, the DHF or the Assegai these days?
