Wayne pudding Mol Posted July 18, 2019 Share Train right, live clean, be nice and at 16 don't worry too much about your times - but without punctures and given this years result, it is going to happen for you DieselnDust, DJR, gummibear and 3 others

etienne_jordaan Posted July 18, 2019 Share I’m 45 and have been riding since the age of 14 and my advice to you from personal experience is to enjoy your riding. I know in todays competitive world it’s not easy, but forget about results and learn the sport. With time the results will come. I’ve so many times over the years seen very talented youngsters get going in the sport with a bang and then burn out completely within 2-3 years due to pressure to perform and then end up quitting cycling al together. At 16 your results are already very good. Don’t rush it. DJR, DieselnDust, ChrisF and 2 others

Pure Savage Posted July 18, 2019 Share  Depends on weather and seeding, from your stats you are pretty much on track. Knysna did a 4:03 with my folks.  If you are in anything up to 1D and good weather you have a chance of a sub 3.  Next year I am going to try sub 3 with my old man at age 67!. Reckon with a decent seeding, weather and a perfect wheel to sit on all day it should be possible.
