I like my F6, Ive been using it for about a month now, after a few years of 910XT.

I like the bluetooth and other smart features like the map.

Pulse HR is a problem when running. It seems to mostly track the cadence of my arms.

My wrist HR readings are acutally spot on..just a slight lag of around 10 to 15 seconds but then track correctly and over the course of a run or cycle within a beat or 2 of strap readings. 

 

Strange yours is not.

It instantly lowers 20 to 30 bpm if I dont move my arms, for example by holding onto my hydration pack straps, then creeps back up.

I have dont think I can strap it tight enough. (lean forearms)

I did all the updates the other day. My music/spotify) wasn't working correctly; once the library option disappeared mid-run, and a separate occasion I couldn't start/stop/pause one of the podcasts I was listening to.

 

Maybe it just needed a restart, as most computers usually do, maybe the update addressed it I don't know.

Hey guys anyone know the difference between the Forerunner 945 and Fenix 6Pro ? Both appear to have the same specs and cost R 11k, is it only plastic vs metal ?

yesterday i went for a lil run with my wife, nice and slow and more of a bonding time than a pure exercise one. But i digress. 

 

i ws watching the info on my Fenix 6 scroll through the various screens and it struck me as to what a great product it actually is.... i have had it for 9 months now and i am still in awe of it. A purchase that has surpassed my expectations. ( it is my first fenix so have no prior history with Fenix models) 

 

just though i would share, if anyone is thinking of getting one, i reckon you should.

Quite a big upgrade released which i have just loaded. Owned mine now for 14 months and still in awe of it... think garmin must be planning a 7 by now

Added support for Daily Suggested Workouts, which are recommended based on previous activities. One can disable this from activity settings. (Run/Bike > Menu > Training > Workouts > Today's Suggestion.)

Added support for Improved Recovery Time, which takes users stress, sleep, relaxation and physical activity in consideration.
