I'm 100% sure I said to you he would lose time in week one and spend the rest of the tour looking really good trying to pull it back!

A well deserved rest day then 2 days of what look like potential cross wind/echelon hell......

And I am 100% I said top 10 maybe top 5

Tadej's form is one thing. Race craft is another.

His bike handling skills, well, he saved crashing into the barriers after losing sight of the summit bending right. Remarkable save.

He used the yellow train so well as a 'free-lancer'. Had the strength to stick. Made an early dig, assessed who is following. He must have conserved energy for the final burst sufficiently enough to follow Hirschi, who sprinted to the line with the perfect flyer. Then won the stage. The young Slovenian won the weekend for sure. This after yesterday's massive effort to claw back some time on GC.

Chapeau, Roglic, in donning the Yellow Fleece.

All in all, beautiful racing! Phew! Now for rest day and what protocols goes with that in the 2020 edition.

Nice moment between the two Slovenians after the finish[emoji173]

Didn't see either of the two moments between them live as Eurosport/GCN gave Tiz Cycling a bit of hard time today. Did see a replay though of the earlier atop the Col de Marie Blanque so it's good to hear that good sportsmanship was shown by both men. Also I felt that both underlined their strength. These two Slovenians are incredible riders. Just pure class imho!!!

It is such a pity though.

I kind of feel like Landa and Porte just aren't GC team leaders.

Amazing bike riders, phenomenal talents, but I don't think they are single  minded enough to win a 3 week race. Porte's form at the shorter 5 to 8 day races is amazing having won Paris-Nice twice, and I'm sure Catalunya and Suisse at least once? (Might be wrong).

I just see Landa as a disaster hahahahaha

Anyway, nice to see Bardet up there and looking good too.

All in it looks like an exciting 2 weeks of racing to come and a banger of an ITT

Oh no Aru..what's going on[emoji24]

I just saw this, I cannot confirm if it’s legit though...

“watching in Australia and the Australian commentary had heard that Aru had a disagreement with the team as they are putting everything behind Pogacar and have made him the protected rider in the team. Aru didn’t like that and spat the dummy and went to the back of the bunch and then left the tour as a two finger salute to his director sportif. That’s what was said anyway. How true it is, is another matter, but it does make sense that neither of the two team cars went to help him or encourage him even though the rest of the team were all together in the peloton”

*I jest of course, I don’t expect you to share that kind of thing outside of the team.

As expected [emoji2356]

Jury report on stage 9 #TdF2020:

Hirschi got a 20" GC penalty + 200 CHF fine for accepting aid in the final 20 kilometers (same rule Alaphilippe was sanctioned for). DS gets 1000CHF fine.

Hirschi, Rojas and Trentin get 200CHF fine for littering.

Thought he might get sanctioned for his socks being 1.78mm too long
