You just missed some good lockdown prices on Assos.

BikeAddict often has some good deals on Ciovita.

Another vote for Ciovita. The Enduro I think it’s called is fantastic.

Solomon’s cycles is the best place to buy bibs I find, they always make a plan to beat any other prices by other shops.

Try Specialized. They make comfortable gear. Riding long distances you really want a comfortable bib. Lycra shorts tend to move while you ride. I bought a pair of Specialized swat bibs a few years back. They have lasted me about 4yrs. I still wear them from time to time. I wished I had spent more time on researching a good pair than throwing my cash at so many cheap sales. Take the time to get a decent pair you won't regret it. The chamios is what usually determines the price. I've learnt this over the years. I know with our current restrictions you probably won't be able to try on a pair just yet. Hope you have success in finding the right pair.

Apparently you get what you pay for.

Not true, It is the Chammious that fits your but best.

I have found the following works for me:

Some unknown brand I purchased in Oudtshoorn just before a 100km MTB for ZAR 600 worked fine and is now my 200+ km pair.

Rapid sports ZAR 600 also a go to for long rides.

Fit is the most important thing.

Yup, I'll second this ????????

Rapid sports bibs might not be fancy but they're comfy and work really well for me.

At about R660 a pair they're worth a trial.

Enjoy Octane are my alternatives, much thinner lycra so great for hot summer days but not so great in winter! They're around R1200.

Anatomic all the way for me.

I am supporting local and I find their service to be top notch.

Trust this Ou. He falls and tests the quality of bibs every week...

I bought one pair of Anatomic Platinum bibs in 2017, and they really not the best as the chamios moves around alot, there was another thread some time back with few other guys experiencing the same. Maybe they have improved the fit since.

Got a pair or GSG few months ago and they have been good.
