Bearing in mind he will be wearing the African champ jersey for the year, so even if Ryan wins SA's he won't be racing in the SA jersey internationally.

Does African champ jersey trump national jersey? Who was the previous African champ?

You'd think so. That whathisname bloke won the Italian Champs and the Euro champs the same year, last year, and wore the Euro jersey all year, didn't he?

So continental champs > national.

Who was the previous African champ?

'18 and 19' were both Eritreans weren't they? I forget which riders though.

I heard Pritzen was riding? My money would be on him.

Rumour is if he doesn't win his team are going to drop him.

Ryan Gibbons

Matt Beers

Willie Smit

On Paper - but we dont race on paper.

Ryan on great form. And I hear Matt flying as well at the moment.

SA's always a bit of a lottery, especially without team support.

Bumped into Nic Dlamini at Xciter Sports in Meadowridge over the weekend. He's in great shape and the change of course could suit him. I wouldn't write him out of the  equation

Is he even doing it as don't see his name on the official entry list?

Sagan won the first edition of the Euro champs, and never got to wear the shirt, as he held on to his rainbow hoops for another year; two actually.

Must give a big up to CSA ,think they have chosen a fantastic course. Not sure if a team is going to help anyone. You either going to have it or not.Agree with the 3 names posted ,possibly slightly favoured the mtbikers

having cycled it a few times in the last month I’m glad I’m on the sidelines.
