Propper speed endurance there by Pedersen.

This will be his first time in a leader's jersey, managing the punchy hilly segments after very good form in the Spring classics.

Stage 2 - ITT. Feels a bit strange after Stage 1. Almost one day too late or just too early. And the former World Champion will be in that highly desired pink chronosuit.

The Dane did it… was definitely a good idea to skip the TDF this year. But the jersey will change shoulders. That TT will bring another new leader. As for Landa, pity we won’t see his form, that was a high speed crash, could of been worse.

Did he skip TDF or was he left out in favor of Milan? As it stands he is yet to put a pen to paper for next season.

Eish... Would never wish that (broken vertebra or any injury for that matter) on anyone no matter how much i thought you'd not win the race.

I think he decided to leave this edition out of his problem and focus on the Giro. His has the whole team backing as they were all hands on deck in Stage 1, so Mads is aiming high in Italia.🤩

Great TT from Joshua Tarling showing his pedigree . with Roglic narrowly missing out on the stage win, enough to put him in pink though.
I reckon a bit of a disappointing ride from Wout?
Pedersen really looking good as well.

Mads did a good job, his done a lot better than Wout. Great first win for the Brit, setting a new Giro record in the process. Some big disappointments, several riders I thought would feature had bad days. But tomorrow is another day. So far great weather and great crowds.

Wout looking at sharp at a butter knife or is he still ill? ITT slower than carapaz... Didn't see that coming.

Roga already in pink 🩷

Vine also looked very impressive.

My fire is already lit on a lekka chilly autumn Sunday and a 4 hour ride with the chain gang.

Three days in Albania coming to a conclusion today. Then a rest day tomorrow.

Today is gonna be one helluva stage, I imagine:

1. Mads wants to regain pink. Lidl-Trektor will be leaving it all out there.

2. The breakaway artists will want to make it count, hoping the GC specialists will want to conserve and control.

3. Several GC hopefuls, like Derek Gee, will want to catch up on lost time after a rough stage 1.

4. Pidcock is always an X factor and is, quietly, wanting to prove his GC credentials. Somewhat to himself, I reckon. Or is Q365 is hunting for stages? Did I miss a media statement from them somewhere, uhm.

5. Can Wout get that stage win after many 2nds, 4ths and all that this season? Here's hoping his health will allow him to search for glory.spacer.png

That’s because WVA didn’t roll with a 68t like the others did 🤪🤣

plus Carapaz nearly lost it in one corner 😮‍💨
