And yeah, hospital back into town was a toughie, we were on for like a sub 1 hour at that stage. That hill and all the corners in town made the last few km very slow. I am lining up for number 20 this year (Should have been 21, as i was in one of the start groups that was stopped at the bottom of the blue route the year it was canceled. Best bit of the route and can be a lot more social. Makes it a lot more bang for buck if coming from out of town. That is quite a wish, there is no practical way to ever do a 2day event. These things don't just happen easily, the full road closures we get already come against some serious resistance. there might even be some pushback against the short route tying up the M3 inbound all day.
