Morning traffic jam at Hempels farm. It's tough in Africa post-38473-1397905803,0385.jpg

Why do cattle ALWAYS poo on the road?

Because they can and we can't! ;)

My bike took me to the emergency room.. silly railway line and breaking my fall with my chin = 8 stitches under the chin..

But as always there is a funny part to it.. today is my husband's bday..

So I will give you a chuckle. . So perfect gift (grippp gloves) too small for my husband, then I felt so bad I rush to town to buy him new riding sun glases.. he gave me the gloves.. we go ride, I come pipe and ruin the gripp gloves, he uses his other new pair of gloves to try stop the bleeding. . But we still need to get home 6km.. and he tares his favourite long riding shirt to use as a makeshift bandage which ties under my chin and over my helmet (at this point a probably look rediculous).. my hubby now riding the 6km back home in his bib only while I try not to pass out and fall down again... then the poor bday boy has to spend the next 2 hours with me at the emergency rooms while I get stiched up.

Talk about a messed up bday

And in 2 years time it'll still be a good memory of time spent together. Regardless of the situation. Plus it makes a good story!

I went to cheer on the back markers of the 2 Oceans after riding up to Rhodes Memorial and beyond. Big RESPECT all

I don't mind getting boxed in for the day, because on my bike I can still go anywhere.

You know the saying that all roads eventually leads to Rome? Well, there are some that reckons all bikes eventually take you to the ER! Now you can relax, you've been there and done that! Stick with your husband btw, I know many who wouldn't tear up a good cycling shirt no matter what! ;)
