Now that is a cool bike, well done. The hubs by the way are limited edition Chris Kings, they were made as a charity drive to raise money for the Breast Cancer research foundation. If you look at the headset you'll see it's also pink. Good choice though.

The other day at Logwood there was a guy with a pink Specialised Epic. Even though a guy was riding it, it was still a cool looking bike.

mampara... that is THE cool bike in town... the colour is so much in demand that specialized are apparently bringing out a couple more so the poor boy is not gonna be unique anymore! (and yep, he's apparently not too happy about that!)

Don't know who the guy is, but he's passed me on the Spruit (whilst I was running) and he was at Mintek a couple of weeks ago.

Nellie Chris King hubs are SERIOUSLY hot mtn bike hubs. Just for the record. They will never break. Same with the headsets.

Byron rode that pink Specialized Epic 'test bike' at Sabie experience last year as well as a few laps at the 24 hour Northern Farm. He loved it!

Talking about Titanium, my wife got a Titanium belly ring on Saturday. I'm so jealous! No I'm not getting a belly ring but hey I don't own anything with titanium! Just got rid of my 'belly ring' anyway.

I wanna be like Fatty and own something made of one of these unobtanium metals!

Just for the record, being fatty means you have to haul 96kg's around races as well...and try keep up with skinny bastards like Donkey and CVANC!LOL

FATTY - I understand that dilemma, came down from 98.5 (tough hauling that around!) to 87.3.

Problem is I guess as for you, you get to a point where the bodyweight is not the problem (without getting anorexic and sick!). In this case such equipment is essential! Could you write me a short justification for my wife? Probably won't help but worth a try! She doesn't believe me that now only spending money on exepensive light trick bits will help. It would help should you mention Titanium a few times!

And nothing sounds like a Chris King hub. Ask the other Met train guys. I've got a pair on my road bike.

So what do Chris King 'road' hubs sound like ...... ??
