I'll wait for Epic Ride weather to be able to forecast for the day (currently its to far into the future for a forecast from ER)

i just hope the wind that we've been having lately stays away on the day.

as far as I know no registration on the day.

you know 947 ride joberg is coming up when all of a sudden all 4 wattbikes at virgin active are always busy. Middle of July they were barely touched.

Looks like the mtb ride will be much cooler on sunday at least. Last year the heat was a nightmare that day.

I remember one year, I started in S with my wife it was 28°C on the start line, imagine what the temp felt like after starting at 9:00 and riding for 4 hours.

I went out last year, after racing “lap 1” to meet up with friends at the top of Jan Smuts. I left the Team Vitality hospitality area at 09:03 and recorded an average temp of 33°C and a high of 38°C. Got home just before 13:00.

I had a 9:50 start time last year and did 4 hours through that midday heat.. (i say 4 hours, there was some change on the less favorable side of that number 😉🤪🤣)

First time doing the full race.. it was harsh.. that Coca cola at the end hits hard..
