Yep I saw those too, but would be nice to have 500m, 400m etc. boards. Like in Durbie Dash, the finish line was just over a crest so we couldn't see it until we were right over it.

Our finish line is 200m further DOWN the road. We are expecting a seriously fast sprint finish as a result

@NicholasH is there dedicated parking on the morning?
From the image in the email, it looks like quite a small field.

99er - EVENT FLOW MAP

Should I plan to park in the suburbs somewhere and ride in?

Parking is a challenge...(and not to make any excuses) BUT this is the first year at our new venue and we do foresee issues. we will learn from this year and improve. Park about 1km away from the venue and cycle in. If you live in Durbanville, cycle the whole way in!

That's fine, if I know ahead of time that I must park in the suburbs then that's not an issue.

It's worse to arrive expecting parking and hit massive queues.

So I'll scope out a few options on streetview and just ride in, thanks!

we are suggesting people to park at the huge field on Bethanie street. Google it 🙂

That was part of my recce ride on Saturday.  Nice 10km leg warmer from home to get to the start line.

Not sure I am as excited about the climb back to Bellville after the event ... 😛

More good news 😁👌

We have just received confirmation that our application for full road closure for Adderley/Koeberg roads all the way from Philadelphia road has been granted 😀

This is a first for any road event in Durbanville. Thus, the last 15km we get full use of both lanes right up to the finish.

Praise the Lord 🙏

Huge relief - nice one ☝️

If we cycle there should we enter via the bridge from school's side or can we entire via Sportway? I don't want to interfere with any of the starting groups.
