Hubbers who have come and gone

Ah, Barry. The one night drinking, a goldsmith tried to pick him up. We later raced back to his house, me on the motard, Barry on a specialized. He won. Damnit. I managed to break my knee later on the same motard and Denise drove me around a bit cause I couldn't drive.

When I emigrated, Barry took on one of my boxer pups - he was called Scar as my father-in-law hit him with his car one day and he had some surgeries and pins to repair things. Barry gave that dog a great life and I was forever grateful. When Barry passed away, Karen took Scar into her home and gave him an amazing life for 7 years. Scar passed away in May of 2024 and Karen reached out to let me know. She is/was gutted about it. 

I have always judged people based on how they treat animals, and both Barry and Karen are/were great people.

I think there was a Karen that took one of the dogs, but it was me (Denise) that took Scar.

He was a little over 2 years old when Barry passed. I met Scar Boy at the funeral and I knew he was going to be mine. He became my soul dog. We had a bond that I've never experienced with another dog. Last year he developed an inoperable tumor in his mouth. The morning before we were supposed to put him to sleep, he died naturally. I was with him and he was lying on my lap when he took his last breath. He was 9 years old. I miss him every day.

Omg. I am so sorry Denise. These hub aliases have me all confused. Luckily my hub alias is easy to associate with my real name. 😂
