We went to Bonnivale with two guys doing the MTB race, and I reckon we (and our bikes) were dirtier than the mountain bikers.

wuuhu, donkey, I guess the small cog wheel didn't like when you changed from 53-12 to 53-13 halfway up helshoogte...So Big Will should be in awe of you and fear for the team leader position. man, how you do that without eating dead animals? drunken some of landis' beers? LOL

the cog wheels are just some form of plastic and of course can break, even though i've never seen that. well done i'd say - make a necklace out of itThumbs%20Up

Normally the jockey wheels become pointy before they crack, but it is possible for them to crack.  You may find that the jumpy gearing caused the crack rather than the other way around.  Check that you derailleur hangar is straight!

Konafan of course it can only be SRAM or SHIMANO, the kemppekkerniolia groupset was a total failure. Their products are not made to be as enduring and long lasting as Shimano.

Donkie, was the litte wheel lubricated???? If not it can start seizing and that type of damage can occur. Replace them with sealed bearing aftermarket derrailleur wheels (BBB and other make them).
