Hi everyone, with UCI 2025 coming to Rwanda 🇷🇼, are any of you planning to travel? I’m based in Kigali and can share some local insights on accommodation, routes, and cultural spots to visit between events. Has anyone here traveled for previous championships? Would love to hear your experience.

seems like it will be awesome, hope there are some tourists coming from RSA

found the SA team announcement.

Anything to get excited about?

Here's the women's course profile. lumpy, 3676 cumulative alt in 164km is plenty, doubt there is a tougher single stage on the women's roster*. Go AMP

* did a quick check, stage 8 at TdFemme was more of a monster, with the Madeleine summit finish.

So the entire course is laps? There’s no warmup miles outside the city before we get the laps. Pretty interesting that.

Is the mens route the same format?

That circuit is pretty lumpy. The climbs itself is not that hard, just the cumulative effect which adds up. No free miles anywhere as well. Just up and down constantly. Pogi will obviously be favorite, however this course will be hard to manage to any breakaways and that’s what I see happening. People are going to be jumping and attacking at will. It wouldnt surprise me at all if Pogi does a similar thing like last year and goes very early to avoid this.

Okay so essentially Pogi will attack that climb and then slowly kill anyone who manages to stay with him up the climb after that.

no. there will be a group selection on Mt Kigali, with the pretenders losing the plot.

then they will ride down together before he drops a hand grenade 5 minutes later here
