As everyone knows, the most important part of fitting a tyre is ensuring that the center of the logo  is aligned perfectly with the valve stem.

There are a few small things like this that will show you someone's attention to detail.

As above, so below.

Hiehie ... my OCD ....

Always a struggle deciding WHERE to align the tyre to the valve stem ... looking from the drive side the "MAXXIS" (or similar) may allign perfectly ... BUT, then when you look from the other side it is a few spokes out of line ...

Build a wheel with a different spoke pattern? Just saying ....

Easy - it's only the drive side that counts :). Who takes pics from the non-drive side??

Yip I must say that's something that does bother me  .... I make sure I get it correct, as @openmind says I check the drive side only ... @ChrisF there's your answer 😎

In my opinion it does show, as @droo says that the person that worked on your bike has given it some thought and not just slapped it on.

Let the owner know about your issues, and see how they make good to them.

If they do not give a damn, and you are being reasonable with your issues, then move on to a new LBS.

Ultimately you will find a good LBS, and then support them financially and promote them as they are worth keeping in the cycling community.

And hope he doesn't develop blood pressure issues... 😉

Not my pic but here’s a multi-faceted conundrum…

Colour clash or valve align?

What if valve align IS colour clashing? Schrodinger’s valve?

Knife edge stuff boys.

I think the only logical solution here is to drill another hole for the valve.

Colour doesn't bother me, tyre make centralised at the valve .... simple 😜

Found another issue today. They took a shortcut and put bearings in my pivots that are not the right size. The correct bearings can only be bought through the specific Scott swing arm or pivot kit. Rush sports and Aero angencies only sell the 7mm size. I’ve never taken my bike to Justin.

But a more general question. I see lots of guys propping up mechanics that do good work. Can we not keep a list of good/bad service from shops to assist any newbies and experienced riders without time alike? Will probably save someone out there lots of headaches, frustration and time.

Justin is an Ohlins and Suspension guru-best I've ever seen. Please reach out to him for all that work.

How on earth is the rear suspension working? Did they damage the frame at all?

I don’t think the frame is damaged. It’s 0.5mm difference so the suspension works fine. There was just play coming through the stay.
