I want to see if some of the SV League riders will make the Eilte bunch. Not a ^&*%^ chance in hell. I dropped from the Elite first bunch and waited for the SV.....quite a JOKE. SV race different. More teams in the SV bunch to keep the pace high so their avg speed is not bad.

There is only/maybe a handfull of SV that will be able to survive Elite League.

What kit were you riding in? I passed a few EL's while having a brain-failure moment and going on the attack alone Confused..but I did manage to stay away for about 15km's Shocked

Those SV's that start Killarney in scratch usually have what it takes to survive most of the EL races...except me...I'm a bit heavy to be competitive Dead

There are a good few who can - for example Robby was 2nd at Red Hill last year behind only Darren Lill.

fatcyclist......was it you that the bunch caught on the turn left to Paarden berg road. I think Robbie just got a puncture after the left turn, so the bunch cracked the pace up a bit to make sure he does not get into the buch again.

Not ridden in the ELITES Bunch I can not comment, but I have started in None League rides with a few Elites in the B group as well, obviously no team tactics were involved and I managed to hang with them, ask Velouria!!!<?:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /> Tongue Ok, but then there was the BikeMax ride, that Laurens elite guy was there I think his name was, together with a few more top Elites and I got dropped, just like when I ride with the SV's..Embarrassed

Mike Jones

Neil Bradford

Mark Moir

Robby

Branko

Guy Le Ray Cook

I could go on - there are plenty of 30+ riders able to ride with Elites and be competitive. Many athletes are in their prime at 30/31/32
