Thug Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 And if you have both ? or is this a Quick, what would you prefer kinda poll ?
Iwan Kemp Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 Hmmm. I suppose in that case what do you prefer / do most of your riding on. PS Nobody likes a show-off.
Fleming Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I love my Zaskar but sometimes I do wish I was riding a DS.
Brighter-Lights Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I can't make up my mind... Back on a light hardtail now, but it's so friggen bumpy that I often think and feel slower on rough stuff, but it def. climbs better... Then again - some of my best results to date were on a dual susp. Hardtail (9kg) for shorter races with lots of climbing. Full Susp (10.6kg) for 24hr Solo, more technical races... I actually think the dual suspension is faster than the hardtail on almost everything except on big climbs... I'm confused.. now I feel like building up my full suspension again Brighter-Lights2009-04-02 12:48:24
Sacrosanct Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Hardtail for youngste, laaties and for racing on a budget. Learn to ride on a hardtail! Dual sussa for old ballies and people with a lot of dough!Sacrosanct2009-06-04 05:28:54

jagwil Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Once you have ridden a full suspension bike you will find it extremely difficult to go back to a hardtail. Full suspension is the way to go and NOT only for the old "ballies".
nathrix Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Hard tail all the way. Just look at Kevin Evans with the dual on the epic...chose soft and lost.
BaieSukkel Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Increased number of parts on a bike results in decreased reliability. That's why a single-speed hardtail is such a tough bastard.
Brettski Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Oh, yes, and Burry and Christoph did soo badly on dual suspension, as did Bart and Chris, and of course the trek factory team? I'm afraid kevein and David just got beaten by stronger riders this year.
Bos Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Increased number of parts on a bike results in decreased reliability. That's why a single-speed hardtail is such a tough bastard. But how Relieable is the Rider?? You should Check your joints and NUTS after every ride, They will rattle loose.
