Anyone know where I can get some of these headset bearings in Cape Town/ Stellenbosch for my vintage Benino Iron man39E4B54D-28A3-45FA-BBB6-2AEC90A3DAB9.jpeg.59fe558123f48706c71dbf9a6edb8339.jpeg

Mark at Marks Bicycle Workshop in Bellville should be able to help you out. Alternatively, buy a small packet of bearings and dump the race and repack them loose.

Hi Guys, I am bringing a Babelegi express back to life. It’s got Shimano 105 brake leavers with campy hoods. The calipers are Zeus 2001 (made in Spain) a bit of a mix and match. Should I try and get 105 calipers with Shimano hoods or rather try and source campy leavers?

Getting Campagnolo levers is getting very hard to find and expensive. I would recommend you replace the hoods. Cheaper option. PM to order (I have stock).

Thanks, I’m still undecided as to which way I want to go. At least I know where to get the hoods.

The brake calipers and crank is Zeus.

Here is my bike build, a pawn shop Hansom with mixed and matched  parts transformed into something fun to ride.

Reynolds 525, in the early 90’s I had a Peugeot with Reynolds 653 tubing. Riding this steel frame brings back fond memories

I had a Hansom 653, still looking for that frame, my mom flogged it when I was gallivanting in Europe.

My current road bike is a Hansom 708, was my mates, his mom didn’t flog it.

I therefore have a real soft spot for old Hansoms. I am still looking for a 53cm, 753 Hansom.
