very very true and make sure you have an extra bottle of water, when you go out for the "short" ride.

Don't do anything suddenly ie  moving in a bunch,, other riders won't appreciate,  or braking when going downhill, you might lock your wheel and puncture, or worse fall.

And my personal favourite.

 

Tell your friends how you crashed on the previous ride. Don't show them. Its hurts more the 2nd time around
