What about all the "clean" riders who got chucked out because they did not make the cutoff times set by the doped guys??????

This sucks!!!!!Cry

That's what it takes to break a code of silence.

This is the only way to solve a rampant problem: make those who can fix it responsible to fix it.

So who can fix it?  Follow the money.  A doping cyclist has a contract with a team (and not a race, or anyone else.)  The money comes from the team.  The team can demand whereabouts, blood tests, etc. because they hold the paycheck.  The team boss can fix it.

How do you make the team responsible?  Hit them in the pocket.  Hard.  Embarrass the sponsor.  Kick the team out.

Suddenly teams will pay very, very close attention to riders -- and team members will too.

Astana should've known they were gonna get it from that French lab - They guttered off the French champ - What idiots.

No' date=' I'm just kidding - I'm sure all the riders at level dope.

Maybe I'm naive, but there I'm sure there must be some clean riders in the tour. I think CSC's move to get independent guys to monitor suspicious things happening to their riders' blood cell levels means that it would be very , very difficult for the CSC guys at least to dope.

The negative publicity should convince all sponsors (those who are left) to institute similar programmes for their riders.

Meanwhile in other news, ( L'Equipe) - Vino has hired Landis' lawyer, who is on the way over from LA to defend him, with an american haemotologist. "He is fully confident that my case will be thrown out" said Vino. " I have lost none of my morale, I will win!"

MORENI ARRESTED- l'Equipe. col D'Aubisque. - For Cristian Moreni, the respite after the climb of the Aubisque didnt last very long. Found positive on the 11th stage of the Tour,  the Italian rider was led away by the police and placed under arrest yesterday, immediately after the stage finish.

In terms of the whole TDF spectacle and professional cycling in general, we're starting to see the power of the sponsor.  Imagine what may start happening in other sports.

What will Sasol say when one of the Boks gets sent off for dirty play?
Posted

Will not happen, the boks never ever ever play dirty.

By the way, has Rasmussen confirmed he was in Italy or is this all based one the "testimony" of one man who is convinced that he saw Chicken there??
