Weight Loss

What is the prognosis for weight loss if one changes from drinking Beer to drinking white wine and everything else stays the same?

 

the idea is to switch from about 3L of beer per day to 4 glasses of dry white wine and 1,5L of water per day.

 

Will this help and if so how much do you think I could expect to loose per month?

 

I need to know as this is going to take a huge sacrifice on my part and I want to know that I am not wasting my time and giving up something I love.

3L beer a day should result in a liver transplant with a few years. The best is to ensure that you get as much liquid into the body as possible. Therefore change from Blacklabel or Guinness to Windhoek light, thereby reducing both calaries and alcohol, but keeping the water the same. Wine would not be a good thing unless you increased the amount of raw water you drink.

This is not an ad, nor am I a member of weight watchers "ask me how" club, but if you want to loose weight. get hold of Nataniel's (yes, the bald one himself) recipe for brown rice and lentils. It forms the basis for your meals and you add proteins etc. It was pusblished in You/Huigenoot a couple of years back and then again recently due to the popularity.

 

I have lost 18kg's in 4 months - struth mate

Dick, if you are going to change, rather just stop drinking alcohol altogether as alcohol has 27KJ per gram while carbohydrates has 16KJ per gram. (I stand to be corrected ont he extact figures, I've forgotten a lot). So even if you drink anything else in place of alcohol you will lose weight and you will be surprised how much better you will feel after about a month or two.

 

Or rather cut it down to 1 or 2 beers a day instead of OMG 3Lt Shocked 

 

You enjoy beer so drink it but rather in moderation, your body will thank you for it.

I have been drinking this for the past 10 years, sometimes more. Never less.

 

My liver is still fine and is a permanent state of preservation.

2 things you need here Dick, now listen carefully.

 

1) Go for the diet suggested by Jamm.

2) Start a twelve step program to help you get off the booze.

 

You might think all is fine drinking 3l of beer a day, but i guarantee you, ITS NOT!.

I need to loose 10 to 15kg ASAP. Currently sittingat 94-95kg. So I have to give something a bash.

 

If I get it right Vets beware and Groot Lem, maybe I will be able to stick with you on the climbs. But then the chill zone bay be a bit different next year.

As an unofficial spokeperson of the "train until you are thin" club, I can recommend absurd amounts of exercise to lose wait. Sell your car, cycle run or hike to work and all social engagments. (The only reason you may need a car is to get you to races and training rides).

Dick, just drink over weekends and evenings. Then you will improve by 5sec to do your sub 3 Argus.  Dick, try cut na net n 6 pack n dag die maand. Dan volg maand 5biere n dag, dan 4, maar nie quarts nie, gewone 340ml size.  Witwyn is n k&k idee. Onthou ek wag nie in die epic nie.

Just not cycling with you if you can't hold your line.    ;-)  

 

And Buff, where the hell were you on Saturday in Zevenwacht? It's not fun trying to follow Mark up those climbs.
