Mojoman Posted August 13, 2010 Share I would take silver personally, I have black rims (some WTB rim on the GT) and they scratch up a treat! Don't the white ones do the same?
Mackie Posted August 13, 2010 Share Can't really see the red hubs, but this is what the rims will look like... Stop bragging man!Well done your bike came out great, looks the ****, how she ride?

Wernervdmerwe Posted August 13, 2010 Share Thanks Werner,Appreciate the advice.I am still not sure Flow or DTSwiss? Strength vs weight the Flows comes out as top dog every time. I had black Flows on red I-9 hubs and they in just under 1.8Kg's for a light freeride-capable wheelset, all the other options were just over 2kg's. DT Swiss has a great name, and is a great rim. You won't make a mistake going for either. Browse through MTBR as well for some insight, but it is surprising how many Flow's you'll see on AM bikes there. Spoken to the guy from SID bikes in NY as well and they are also sold on Flow. Black is timeless. White looks cheap.Riiiiight... Stop bragging man!Well done your bike came out great, looks the ****, how she ride?Ai - she's a dream hey! Been able to spend a bit more time in the air thanks to the confidence she inspires. Round 13kg for 160mm travel bike with DW-platform, perfect go everywhere bike!
mtb_Josh Posted August 13, 2010 Share I think they look awesome. would love a pair on my bike - would look great with my white frame, just dont have the $ so, if you get them and think they look cheesy, you can always pass them on to me

Li Mu Bai Posted August 13, 2010 Share pfft, white rims are great, they make your bike look great too. All rims look crap when dirty/muddy, and if you care about the longevity of your bike and components you should be cleaning it regularily anyway. go for it! patches Posted August 13, 2010 Share I was thinking, white rims, red nipples and red hope hubs? Do it! That's what I've got... white Spank Spike, Red Hope Pro II's, black DT swiss DB spokes (pro-lock nipples though, not red), and Hope Saw 2-piece rotors with gunsmoke inner! looks killer!
