High point:

Comfortably finishing my first mtb stage race (Hogsback LOTCR) and not getting nauseas once during the 3 days.

Low point:

Comfortably finishing Zurich 70.3 triathlon and then getting sick while standing in the security queue waiting to exit the transition area after the race.

Good year for me, I got my new beautiful Specialized era and have loved every moment on her.

Finishing the long Knysna mtb (couldn't walk afterwards, ITB) and then finishing Karoo to Coast and being absolutely fine afterwards.

Became a mountain biker (although I am still a roadie at heart).

Rode a stage race with my wife (and stayed married afterwards).

Saw Patensie in the daylight at TransBaviaans.

Finally went under 6hrs for the DC.

Running 112km along the wild coast in 3 days (one of the most beatiful spots on earth) and now being ABSOLUTELY sure that cycling is the KING of sports!

Exactly, the invention of the wheel is a landmark in human history for good reason. The invention of shoes is not even in the same ballpark.

Successful completion of 2nd year of year round training. At this stage just over 2000k's and 100hrs up on last year's total milage and saddle time.

Got a Pinarello this year :)

Race wise it was a mixed bag with some really good one's and unfortunately a few crap one's. Completed 25 races, entered 25

Seeding improved from about 18 to 10 (top 82 in age cat, down from 350+ at start of the year)

Hoping for amongst other things, this in 2011

Managed to climb three of cycling's most hallowed climbs this year.

Mont Ventoux in a howling Mistral

Alpe D'Huez (as part of "La Marmotte")

De Muur (van Geraardsbergen - Ronde van Vlaanderen)

What remains after you have done that?!
