My Top Personal Achievement in Cycling for 2010 is...

2010 was a year of continuous 2 wheeled pedal powered action: My 10th Argus, a few other road events, first multi-day event: Lord of the Chain Rings in Hogsback, doing events in other parts of this beautiful country like the Giants Castle Experience and Kynsa Oyster Fest mtb event, and many others. Finishing all, did all my own maintenance, built my first set of wheels, no mechanicals, no real improvement in placings (consistently lower 1/3) but wtf I am loving the sport and that I am healthy and wealthy enough to partake.

Finishing the year by kick starting a cycling outreach project for the youth in my 'hood, taking a break from events but lissss to test drive my new Lefty at Groenies as soon as it arrives!

A good cycling year 2010,A new Cervelo R3, Zero falls , few mechanicals, 3H28 Argus ,2H51 Burger and a sub 7H30 D/C with only 6 riders. All in all I would call it a good cycling year, lets hope and pray for the same or better next year. Merry Xmas to all HUBBERS. R3SL.

Highs:

Decided to scale back on cycling to spend more time with my wife & baby son. I have done about 20 rides since May in total.

Lows:

Gained 4kg, went over 10% fat for 1st time in my life. It seems that my riding buddies are no longer interested in riding with me, I'm too slow!

nix m2,unless your name is Brandon Willcocks, you did,nt came 3rd at the To Hell and Back on Sunday. If you're name is not Brandon then you're a compulsive lier!!

Eish George, daar slaan jy nou jou naam darem maar hard met 'n plank. Dude, why the chip on the shoulder? You are not Brandon Willcoks, who in fact came in overall 6th, 3rd only in his cat, so why the need to start lashing out? You would've trashed Franso Steyn as well, had he been on thehub saying HE was 3rd, as he was actually 3rd overall, but first in his cat. Or Jan3 Ferreira who was 3rd in HIS cat, or Peter Stopforth who was 3rd in his cat, or Henry Fagan who was 3rd in his cat, or Nicola Payne who was 3rd in HER cat, or Heidi Koen who was 3rd in her cat, and off course Blyda Malherbe who was 3rd in her cat. And then the little mishap of being totally wrong, misinformed and rude :D

Even though we have all got the google machine and interwebs :)

(I'm not going to start branding using current DSM-IV names as you did yourself by diagnosing from afar a compulsive liar, like diagnosing borderline personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder or obsessive compulsive disorder, all 3 of which does have as a symptom a great need to be always right) :D :D

No harm, no foul, just apologize, its the gentleman way!!!

Brandon came in 3rd on Sunday over the line.

Saturday he was 9th over the line.

He was then 6th overall on the 2 stages, nevermind the category.

Sorry to Nix,maybe I did'nt understand the 3rd thing. But if she meant she was 3rd on Sunday over the line out of all the racers, then????

My list is quite long:

Had a great summer league, followed by a top 30 in the woman in the Argus.

Became a mountain biker and won Potberg, and got second at Lourensford Classic.

Completed Cape Pioneer with my amazing boyfriend, and then took 3rd in Hell and Back 2 day.

And then Finally being in the top 7 to cross with line in the winning ladies team, in record time in DC.

What a great year

When you race against about 10 women in Cape Town League then a top 10 isnt very good and same for Argus, MTB races and so on......
