This in all probability an ongoing problem but feel I need to appeal to everyone who uses the sight to fair to the cycling community and you fellow hubbers.

A set of wheels were advertised ( I'm not concerned about the price) as 2009 and a fellow hubber remarked that he "thinks" they looked like 2006 wheels. There are 2 points i want to make.

1. I hope they are 2009 but if not the hubber is catching his mates.

2. If the hubber (respondent)does not know whether they are 2006 don't make the comment. You are placing doubt in peoples minds and affecting the sale. Even better still if you see someone selling something with the wrong year find out and send the hubber a friendly note.

I'm sure this way everyone will benefit. My toys are out the cot and need to pick them up

I agree to a cetain extent, but if you selling something you should least know how old it is, that is the first thing somebody is going to ask and if you have put the wrong age in(I think can only be on purpose) then you should be caught out.

If you dont know the age then say so or ask fellow hubbers if they know.

My view is if your are going to sell something on the hub, make 100% sure you know what year it is - end of story!

If you don't, questions will be asked!

I'm intrigued

What is "creditability"? Is it the unbelievable ability to get hold of credit? I'm intrigued (or is that intrigueatable?)

How about the word " Honesty" for the less informed  Ha ha !! But I'm sure you get my drift.

It's a forum, meaning open discussion. It's the seller's responsibility to respond to challenges from the buying public. You're not paying for an advertisement, you're placing a free ad on a public forum.

I don't know Georges.

I have had many dealings and my general take is people just don't know. Their intention is not to mislead. They just don't know and think it "wont matter"

Ignorance is bliss?

That said, before I buy anything, I make DOUBLE sure that I know what model it is!!!! Easy google search will usually tell you what year model certain decals or shapes or hubs are.

In short: Buyers...KNOW YOUR PRODUCTS!!

It is something that is rare on this websight.

Respondent, despondent.

Creditability, irritability.

2006,2009.

He knows, he 'thinks'.

It could be poor spelling (we know it's going around), ignorance (ditto), dyslexia and even downright DIShonesty.

If you don't trust it, don't buy it.

Toys back in? Better?

This is not Gumtree (Gomboom), it's a cycling forum where you can talk about your new surfboard and poke fun at BMW drivers.

I was just trying to be polite, as the seller stated he was unsure. My grammar is based on politeness of expression. I have been taught that it is always better manners to point out facts with expressions such as "I think...", "Wouldn't you agree..." or "Maybe we can rather..." in stead of "You must..." or "Those are...". So what I actually meant to say was "Those are 2006 wheels in case you were wondering."
