butafly Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 the csa sit in CTown and are basically admin people. they award the champs to the a provincial body.the local body chooses the route, surely ep cycling should know which routes are going to affected by traffic.once the route is chosen, apply with the local traffic authorities, only proceed when permission is grantedits not rocket science. ep cycling held sa's a few years ago without problems. where has all that knowledgegone.

Accept that at worlds your country normally foots the bill (Not SA I know....) and with SA's each rider has to cover his own expenses.... So much for making it accesable to the PDIs......... Rather keep it in Cape Town or Gauteng. You know.....majority people can participate.Or Bloemies if you want to be halfway. No one will every be happy! the last time WP hosted champs, chris willemse was the organiser and it was a monumental f....up.

Guest Bpayne Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 TCS consist mostly of 30-34 guys.2010 saw 4 TCS guys in the MAIN bunch with 3 in the top 10 and ALL 4 finishing with the front 17 guys. NO breaks. Just a boring bunch sprint. I know.....I was there in that sprint! 2009 TCS WON SA's. Seems only the profesional event organisers can pull off events these days. CSA could not really loose anymore credibility in my books, but they just did. Shocking

Not good atall.There were plenty of marshalls and traffic police all over the place. They have been there since 7am when I drove to work. I know that there was a ladies age catagory time trial from Wednesday that had to be re-run yesterday because the marshalls sent them the wrong way. What promised to be an awesome event has turned into an absolute embarrasment. Don't be surprised if the Tour of SA is routed somewhere else.
