only great service from CRC. Had some issues regarding stuff being sent in 2 parcels and having to pay double customs but CRC refunded me the extra VAT. So how's that for service.

And with email correspondence, they've only ever been great with their response, trying anything to sort out the problems....and i've never felt like i've been shafted as with some places locally.

CRC rocks. Got 3 orders since Dec., no problems. One part was faulty, they replaced it no questions asked, and i did not even return it. Will continue using them

i must admit i have also had good results from crc, ordered a cassette and seat post from them (saved me R300) and to top it off payed for the standard royal mail, but because the seat post was not within the dimensions, crc payed the extra and sent it parcel force

so i cant complain so far

They did this with my last order to but i didn't pay fees so i didn't worry to much.I wonder if they don't have any big boxes in stock.

They do take a little long to reply to emails but with 3000 orders a day i guess waiting a few hours isn't to bad ;)

Only had super service from them. They even sent me a discount voucher for Krismaaas. Forgot to claim the bloody thing on a R4,000 order and mailed them about it. They refunded the discount bit. Super service I tell ya!!!

Just a word of warning, recently ordered from Chain Reaction Cycles...

What a nightmare!!!

1st: Charged for transport (Ordered more than the R3000.00 / qualifying for Free Shipment as advertised on their site)

2nd: DHL costs and CRC costs do not compare / marry as invoiced.

3rd: No response to emails requesting answers from CRC.

4th: Goods have been in Bondage, in SA since the 28th Jan 2011.

5th: Upon given up as I need the items, have waited almost 2 weeks having given DHL authorisation to release and deliver

Lesson Learn't :( :o

The free shipping is if you use Parcelforce (and it will come via the Post Office). For courier / shipping company option they have always charged extra. And when it goes wrong clearing customs here it's always a headache and delay, that's a local problem.

I even orderd some small stuff with royal mail postage the other day - with no tracking number, 2 weeks as per normal and the slip was in my post box - no problem.......and only R56 postage!

I think I first ordered somthng online form CRC in 2001 and all has been good, except for a wrong saddle they sent but they sent me the correct one and refunded me for all the costs I incurred at the post office in receiving the wrong one and posting it back,
