Look I bleated about not being able to ride as that is how it affects ME, but at the same time I also acknowledge the person that has to leave home at 4 or 5 am to get to work.

My thoughts exactly. I had planned 5:30am start times for rides this week, that would give me enough time for a 1 hour ride, get home, shower, eat and change and still get to work on time. As it stands I called off this mornings ride.

My biggest gripe with the Apple Watch (and I don’t own any yet, so this is purely from an outsiders perspective ) is the square screen, I kinda like my watch to look like a watch. Call me old fashioned like that.

Finally got around to installing the SRAM chain, done around 280km with it and is nice and quiet. I had an annoying sound coming through on each peddle stroke that I though was the chain, then possibly BB, but luckily narrowed it down to the saddle, applied some Q20 where the rails meet the saddle and everything is now whisper quiet.

I know at one stage my brother in law would fly explosives up to the mines over our borders further north, these flights would leave ORT after midnight, I’m not sure though if they appeared on FR or not.

Windy, no energy, no power and left my water bottle in the kitchen, still better than a good day at the office.

100% spot on The sooner people respect other peoples time and expertise the better. It’s become the norm to book your car in for a service, busy workshops need a weeks notice, same should happen at any decent bike workshop. But the same attitude that prevails on the hub about technicians being useless is what makes people not respect the workshops time. I’d that techy was so useless then he would not be working at any decent bike workshop. The problem is the internet makes people think they know everything, same thing happens in your doctors office. And if you want an officially certified and trained techy then be prepared to pay the labor rate that goes with it.

My 6s battery that I replaced in October is not lasting, and the charging port has become a little dodgy, so I’m keen to upgrade.

So cellc advertise they have iPhone 12. Since I’m with them already it’s an easy upgrade. But They have no stock yet.

does it not add significant weight to the glasses?Also do the RX inserts not sit to close to your face?

I tried contact a number of years ago, but due the particular defect in the one eye we could not get a prescription that was just right, I fell between 2 different “settings”.

I’ve tried riding with my normal specs but find that they don’t go high enough over the eyes so I land up have to look over the frame the entire time. Have been wanting to go prescription lenses on cycling glasses but the cost has held me back, so I just ride with normal cycling sunnies

I’ve been promising to ride to one of my brother in laws restaurants since he got it last year, finally made it happen. Took the short route, next time I’ll do the long route. Awesome morning on the bike.
