  1. Takes seconds to rinse clean, just make sure that you use it the correct way up.
  2. I'm also interested in the responses to this question. My WDTV Live is on its last leg, there hasn't been any software updates for over a year and WD has indicated that this model is no longer supported. I'd be keen to get an Android box, or alternatively build a mini PC
  3. At home, only my Bialetti sees regular use in line with my espresso machine. I have other brew methods, Aeropress, french press, Cleva Dripper, but the mokka pot makes a lovely cup. Tips for the mokka pot: Fill it with boiling water. If you wait for the water to boil inside it, your coffee will be way overextracted. Tighten it properly. If it doesn't seal well, it will spit water all over. Pour immediately once the coffee stops coming up the spout. You won't regret a mokka pot. It's one of my jealously guarded coffee treasures.......
  4. I'm interested to see how your mate tried this. I found some information online about using a hand press to churn out around 60 briquettes an hour and I have access to around 1.5 cubes of sawdust a week, so quite keen to give it a bash. Coupled with the free weekly newspaper in our town as a binder, should work quite well.
  5. A company needs to submit their employee return by 31 April each year. The IRP5's should be available any time after that, because if the EMP201 and EMP501 that the company submits monthly and 6 monthly, respectively, don't tie up with the final submission, it wouldn't be successful. There really is no reason to sit on employee IRP5's, unless there are differences between the monthly EMP201's and the final IRP5 submission..........
  6. I have the standard Able filter. Best thing you can do for your Aeropress. I will never go back to paper filters. There are some fines, but you can play around with grind, brewtime, etc and minimise them. Just remember to orient the filter the correct way up/down as this impacts how easy it is to clean.
  7. We chatted to the guys manning CP3, and almost a quarter of the field had bailed by CP2. We arrived at CP3 at around 3am, with the last riders on course around an hour behind us. Don't underestimate this ride, if you're not used to long distance AND lots of climbing, it's going to get you Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  8. RIP, Barry. I'd only met you a couple of times, but I'll remember: I'll remember the magenta boa I'll remember the mine dump rides I'll remember your love of animals, and Lego and the pride you had in your kids. I'll remember the respect you had for your ex-wife after the divorce. I'll remember every time you got knocked down, you just stood up again. I'll remember that very special Barry humour, equal parts dry, sardonic and sharp. Go well.......
  9. AlanD, drop me a PM, I'll help sort it for you.
  10. So I clicked the heading, expecting to contribute to a whip-round for dog food for Barry or skate parts or something of that nature  Not this. Hope you're up and about soon, Barry, all the best.
  11. Another steel roadie for your viewing pleasure Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  12. Tyre pressure is critical on plus tyres, I swear I can feel the difference between 0.6 bar and 0.8bar. Grip is more about tyre choice, the Surly Knards are impossible in mud, but the newer plus tyres, Nobby Nic plus, Rekon+, Ikon+, Ranger, Purgatory, etc all have acceptable performance in the mud and wet. Oh, and 5 years in the market is hardly a fad IMO
  13. Look, I'm not convinced about the dual sus plus thing. I ride a Krampus (29+ for those who don't know) and chased my brother, riding a Spez Fuse 6Fattie, through all of the blue sections at Thaba Trails, and I feel I could do with 120mm travel fork instead of the rigid I'm running now. In two years riding this bike, I've never felt like I needed boing at the rear too.
  14. I don't understand why, on a "plus" bike, Spez have specced those measly, narrow, 29mm width rims to pair with the 3.0" tyre? If the Spez Fuse 6Fattie can get WTB Scrapers, why shouldn't this?
  15. Currently, steel bikes are: Surly Krampus, rigid 29+, 1x9 Daccordi Mitico, classic roadie with full European goodness Previously, I've owned: Bridgestone RB-1, roadie Kona Unit, rigid SS 29" Ragley Piglet, 150mm 26" hardtail and 1 little old 29", rigid SS in titanium, my Pipedream Skookum.

Not sure if this is a repost.....
  17. Framesaver? Not necessary in Gauteng imo. Also, frames treated with framesaver are apparently a bitch to repair and repaint......
  18. My advice, don't. But if you do, ping the_nerd. He's had three and regretted each one he sold
  19. Two ABID drippers bought and paid for. Thanks again @iteachcoffee
  20. You, sir, are an officer and a gentleman......
  21. You're welcome......
  22. Grrr, was 3 for 3 until one of my gorgeous little children managed to pass their tummy bug onto me. That's yesterday and today out, but in the interests of the challenge, I'll squeeze in a couple of double event days to make up for it.
