  1. That one's a 50/50 for me. Some days I get all the way, and others only 3/4. That's on 32x18. I find it helps if I make lots of embarrassing grunting noises.
  2. I have a confession.......... I converted my Krampus from SS to 1x9 I'm so ashamed..................
  3. Bought my Kona Unit from Maverick in 2012, when they were the agents. There were some undisclosed issues between them and Kona Europe which delayed my frame, but I managed to expedite my frame, by dealing with Kona Europe. After that, the agency passed to National Cycles, but there seems to be a complete lack of interest in the brand from them. It's a pity, because Kona bikes are good, honest, fun bikes.
  4. Rather sell another bike....
  5. What size frame are you looking for?
  6. Do yourself a favour and get a metal filter for your Aeropress. A definite improvement on the taste over the paper filters. http://www.yuppiechef.com/able.htm?id=11125&name=Able-Stainless-Steel-AeroPress-Disk-Filter-Standard
  7. But I WAAAAANT a lever[emoji24] [emoji22] [emoji25] [emoji26]
  8. He doesn't need the temperature stability of the Cremina as he doesn't pull more than two shots at any time. Me, on the other hand, need it, have lots of dinner parties at home. Come on the_nerd, send the Cremina on to your brother, it is Christmas time
  9. Can echo the sentiments, they are a whole lot of fun. I've taken my Krampus on Thaba's blue routes and my face aches from all the grinning.
  10. I think Surly recommends a minimum rim width of 30mm for the Knard.
  11. I just had a trouser incident.................... I'd be so conflicted if I owned this. On the one hand, it's art and should be hung on a wall, on the other hand, it's a machine and needs to be used.
  12. I did something similar not too long ago. In fact, I think I posted about it in this very thread. 1989 Daccordi Mitico with a 10 speed Campagnolo mix. Centaur skeleton brakes, Carbon Chorus Ultra Torque cranks, Carbon Record shifters and aluminium Centaur derailleurs. The BB is Italian thread and Ultra Torque BB cups are readily available in Italian thread. Just no deep sections, yet......
  13. I guess it's POA.
  14. Its for sale...... http://www.gumtree.co.za/a-cars-bakkies/sandton/1981-audi-quattro-coupe-one-of-the-original-three-lhd/1001190586910910352306409?utm_source=criteo&utm_medium=banner&utm_content=retargeting&utm_campaign=banner_criteo_Automotive http://i.ebayimg.sandbox.ebay.com/00/s/NDg0WDgwMA==/$(KGrHqZHJEEFJ62lmczFBUJZlwVF8g~~60_20.JPG http://i.ebayimg.sandbox.ebay.com/00/s/NDI0WDgwMA==/$(KGrHqNHJDUFDHzk!OdRBUJZl,OENw~~60_20.JPG
  15. Cool. I got mine directly from King Cage, before the Post Office shenanigans, and I got it in 8 days. That was around 2 years ago now. Haven't lost a bottle yet, and its on a rigid SS.
  16. Nice. Did you get it from King Cage directly?
  17. I'm a bit of weakling, so 32x18 for most things and 32x19 or 32x20 if there are hills.
  18. 32x18 for my "normal" SS 29er and 32x19 for the 29+ that I posted earlier. Seems ok for most of the trails I ride in Jhb, but the 32x18 killed me on day one of Dusi2c. Hopefully 32x19 will treat me better next year.
  19. How do they feel on the narrower rim?
  20. I think the narrowest rim recommended is a 35mm rim. I got mine from Sprocket & Jack in Parkwood. Oh, frame and fork clearance will be an issue.
  21. Surly Knard 29x3 on 50mm wide Rabbit Hole rims......
  22. My new addition to the family - Banshee.
