  1. Time to retire my old MTB. Narrowed down my choice of new bike to one of these 2. Mostly love doing enduro type events +- 60km on weekends, and also multi stage events like the Sabie Experience. Take the races not to seriously. Anybody got some ideas which one? 2. Personally I find training with so much technology off-putting. Sure, for the pro's and semi-pro's it is a good tool to judge fitness. but for me it takes away some of the magic about training. When I do my interval training (running), I use 1 minute hard / 1 minute low intensity for about 15 minutes. Great for getting fit quickly, but in general I do not hink this helps me in the endurance in general that I love so much.
  3. A bit off the topic - where / who / shops in Gauteng do Cannondale bikes?
  4. Sex on wheels.
  5. 22g is almost nothing. If you put on different socks you can save more.
  6. This is technology for technology's sake. Why do you want to save 22g? Rediculous. It loos nice though.
  7. On my recent travels to Zanzibar, I came accross there local tandems. There is lot of bicycles on the island, also a lot of Vespa's scooters.
  8. I agree, I have a very clever son and daughter....
  9. Called a "Silver Arrow"?
  10. My advice to Sunblock: Get a new logon name and start over (learning from your previous "mistakes". Somehow I do not think that will happen.
  11. You must have a lot of free time. Interesting reading though.

    Giant Anthem 2

How much did you paid for it mountain_lion?
  14. Nice top speed there, 91km/h.
  15. I run the Hekpoort hill quite often and have passed on occasion a couple of cyclist on the uphill, but they fly past me on the downhill. That is just the nature of running vs cycling.

    My new toy

Looks like a primes stove to me....
  17. I know it is good teatre, but predictable and is serving no purpose besides that. Time to lock the thread according to me. Sunblock is getting the attention he wants and nobody can convince him on any issue, so just let it be.
  18. It is sad news, was a very nice race.
  19. What is a budget again?
  20. From the previous website: "We are looking into opening for morning rides as well - watch this space." Has this been implemented yet? Also, anybody can confirm that it is open at 5 Monday to Thursday?
  21. Enjoy the new bike. Just remember, a bike has a soul, and is part of your family now.
