    @Robbie Stewart You have already got the Correct Bike for all your needs. Sometimes Peer Pressure can be Daunting. I Like the Bike it's Good Looking and All That. I personally would not benefit from having one. I've Already Tried All sorts of things on my Big Nine but it works best as standard.

    Happens on my Mountain Bikes as Well. (QR System) The Wheel Never goes back Exactly The Same as it came out. Learn to do the Caliper Adjustment. On Thru Axel System it is Less Noticeable.

    Why Those Tyres in Particular ? Maybe I can Learn Something Here. I had Ardents on my Merida Big 9 300 Hardtail and it Was Pig Slow. Put In the Original Ikons that came with it and it made a big improvement.

    Lot of People Bought them for Covid and No Longer Use Them. You Should be able to Negotiate a very Good Price. It can Never be the same as Cycling Outdoors. Spinning at the Gym can also Very Rewarding depending on the others in the Class. 👁️‍🗨️👁️‍🗨️🙉

    Riding Trails is so much fun. However When I Switched from XC to Trails some Years Ago I Lost My Fitness. I Also Ride a Merida 120 and I would Classify it as a XC Bike That Can Handle Some Light Trails. It is Classified as a Trails / Enduro Bike but It feels more like an XC bike. The Merida 160 is a True Trails Bike. A Trails Rider should also Ride XC Long Rides to Keep Fit.
