  1. You're such a gem...
  2. http://www.news24.com/Green/News/wildfires-in-new-zealand-prompt-hundreds-of-evacuations-20170215
  3. ^^^^ Not my experience paired to an iphone 6. Everything syncs auto, once I've closed and saved the activity on my watch.
  4. Yeah, I can see from the graph it's gone from 0 metres to like -100 metres with most strokes. The surf track app I was running doesn't have an obvious way to figure out how many strokes I made... Might have to test another app option if I can't find it and I want to know how many paddle strokes I've made!
  5. Recorded my first surf with the fenix 3 yesterday. Got an app called surftracker from connect IQ and configured it a few days ago. Some interesting stats! I surfed for a little over an hour and caught 19 waves. Longest ride was 125 metres. Fastest speed while surfing was 35.4 km\h. Total distance covered both catching waves and paddling around was 6.5 kays! Craziest stat is that my elevation for the activity says 4000m!!!! Guessing that the watch loses track of the real altitude change when it goes underwater? Will monitor that....
  6. Hi, Have you read the thread? Your post seems misplaced given the context of the entire thread....
  7. Plus you have to be strong enough to go when the attacks happen, so it's not all tea party and cake hanging on!
  8. This is just super incredible!
  9. Not sure if I like it more than the original as I really enjoy David Gray, but it's a decent enough cover and appropriate for tomorrow!
  10. Nice work SeaBee! I checked the strava activities! Looks like a tough but interesting event! Good job dude!
  11. That would depend on whether Melissa fancies Scarlett 'in that way' I guess! Welcome Mel!
  12. Gonna be testing this app on my next session. Just finished the configuration! https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/ded87d46-5477-4ca7-a247-847b896393e0#0
  13. Should make it. Have a few things to juggle, but should have that sorted come the 4th!
  14. Speedy recovery to the cyclist. With it being South African champs you would think that the organisers would know the riders are going to race head down time trialling. Not too clever to have this on open roads....
  15. I see this little group is turning into a bunch of animals eh! Going to the vet.... We can only hope that all this 'perde salf' and 'koei salf' will turn us into wind-honde!
  16. Got it in my grubby paws.... Now the fun begins!
  17. Already price checked them and they're the best retail pricing for sure. I have had the odd Nike store sale madness where older model Pegasus were sold for less than 1K. Need to go and hear if they're planning another one of these events soon! If not, Poobie's will get my order.
  18. Need to shop for some new shoes. Probably gonna stick with the Pegasus brand from Nike. Will be going past the Nike store later and see if they have any specials lined up.... Current shoes have just clocked 850 kays!
  19. Pulled the trigger. Awaiting delivery.... Will have to reread this thread to see what useful tips are already hiding in here!
  20. So this Fenix requires you to wear the strap in order to have heart rate measured? It's not the wrist side measure as well is it? Trying to work out why the HR advertised model is cheaper in normal retail price by almost 2K? http://www.takealot.com/garmin-fenix-3-sapphire-hr-grey/PLID42257002
  21. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Frikkie I suggest sending him a PM... Oh and welcome, I think.
  22. Left the virtual club and joined the local running club! Amped to see what the scene is like. Just need to get back to training! Speaking of which, had my first mostly pain free run of the year this morning! Almost felt like it was the start of getting back into the schedule!!!!
  23. Step 1 - Enter, feel nervous, even a little scared, be challenged, do something you are passionate about, meet plenty like minded people, have a super awesome day out that you smile about for weeks after. Step 2 - Remember to take plenty pics and share the experience with the rest of us too! Step 3 - Rinse, repeat....!
  24. What most people here forget is that in most of Europe the infrastructure is vastly different at the venues as they cater to mountain biking in the summer and alpine skiing in the winter. So entry fees et al include trips up the gondola and most of the tickets seem to indicate multiple trips over the weekend. The only similar metaphor would be if there really was a DH course built on Table Mountain and you paid an entry fee but you got to ride up and down the cableway as much as you liked during the contest period as part of the entry cost. (The cablecar cannot do the same volume of people as the ski resorts gondolas and chair lifts, so there is already a key difference here!)
