I think the gravel section was the highlight of the race for me. It's another war story to share with mates on our next coffee shop Sunday ride.

I preferred to stay out of the front bunch of $ in case there was a crash and the whole bunch went down. I paid the price tho and never made it back to the front group.

I was fortunate to be given a Cyclops powermetre for my birthday, I will tell you one thing, I would never train again without it. Its the best investment you could make. If will transform your training into quality sessions. No more wasted hours on the road doing junk miles. If you are a "time-crunched" cyclist its even more of a reason to get one.

Rocky Mountain Element 999SL comes to mind. Also retails at R25k for a frame.

Maybe Craft are selling the kit off because they no longer part of the Epic next year. Perhaps they selling the kit to everyone to spite Mr Vermaak. I heard the break up was ugly. Assos will be the new kit sponsor.

I didnt even look who was on my tail. That section was a brutal!

Also rode in the % bunch. At 60km my team mate put the hammer down and guttered everyone. The bunch split and I just managed to ride across. Crossed the finish line in 2hr18min I think. With the front of % . VC METALS!!

I waited 3 months for my replacement Scott Foil frame. Luckily they let me keep the faulty frame and rode it in the mean time.

Momsen size small is in fact a size medium. The top tube of a Momsen is 600mm which is medium on most bikes
