  1. It should have 3. Lockout, Trail and Descend. (LTD) Is LTD written on your top tube anywhere?
  2. Wine2Whales profile stickers pulled te clearcoat off my top tube as well.
  3. No man, why you hating on the Epic riders? They worked hard to earn that sticker.
  4. This diet will make u slower. Too little carbs in it.
  5. Pro/elite riders need a coach for different reasons to what recreational rider would. Yes, Pro riders know what intervals etc but a coach's main role is to manage a pro riders' fatigue. They tell them when to back off so they peak for important races. For recreational riders a coach would help where the rider is clueless and just end up wasting his time and doing junk miles.
  6. Get a PowerTap. No more guess work. Couple that with a coach and u can't go wrong.
  7. I completed the 2014 Cape Epic with zero punctures. Tyres I used were Fast Tracks. My partner punctured 3 times on Stage 4 with his Schwalbe Racing Ralph's Snakeskins.
  8. I am proudly an 2014 Cape Epic finisher! It's the hardest thing I've done in my life. To suffer like that day after for 7 days and sleep in a tent ain't easy. I finished in the Top 250 of the field. Hats off to the back of the field for soldiering on.
  9. Im riding a Scott Spark 29er with Sram XX Groupset, Eggbeater pedals, ZTR Wheels with Fastrack Controls 2.0.
  10. Good to see development riders making the most out of the opportunity presented to them. Well done!
  11. Steve did my 29er bike fit 3 years ago. This year I decided to do another bike fit coz I did a few upgrades etc. I went to Spook at Daisyway and he told me the fit was almost perfect. He moved my saddle forward by .5cm and lowered my stem. But the biggest change was the cleat alignment. After he adjusted my cleats my pedal stroke was so much smoother. I could feel more power being transferred through the pedals
  12. Syncros XR1.0 Carbon rails on my Scott Spark 29er. Saddle weight 165g Selle Italia SLR on my Scott Foil. Saddle weight 125g
  13. While waiting for the $ bunch to start, a rider in front of me tossed his empty gel to the floor. I tapped him asked him to pick it up. He just ignored me. Only afterwards when some other riders who also saw what happened gave him some choice words did he pick it up. Just shows the ignorant attitude of some riders.
  14. I think the gravel section was the highlight of the race for me. It's another war story to share with mates on our next coffee shop Sunday ride.
  15. I preferred to stay out of the front bunch of $ in case there was a crash and the whole bunch went down. I paid the price tho and never made it back to the front group.
  16. Scott Foil all the way
  17. Brilliant inititive. Come on guys lets support this cause.
  18. Aqua Crazy gets my vote as well. One of the coaches there used to coach Penny Heyns
  19. That climb was horrible! Well done my team mate on getting fifth place today.
  20. Complete Cyclist also stocks them
  21. I was fortunate to be given a Cyclops powermetre for my birthday, I will tell you one thing, I would never train again without it. Its the best investment you could make. If will transform your training into quality sessions. No more wasted hours on the road doing junk miles. If you are a "time-crunched" cyclist its even more of a reason to get one.
  22. Rocky Mountain Element 999SL comes to mind. Also retails at R25k for a frame.
  23. Dominic Calitz- Summit Bikes
  24. I ride Full Dynamix
