  1. I ordered one of these General Lee adapters from Evo on Friday, got it first thing Monday morning, installed it last night, had to make some adjustments to the gears but took about 10 minutes from start to end. Gears shift well and I've got a nice range now on my 1x10 setup (11-40 / 34) will change the front ring out with a 36T at some point but I think this is as good as it gets on 1x10 and works out way cheaper than going full XX1, I'm running XX and XX1 Crankset.
  2. Cool thanks, I thought as much.
  3. Might be a silly question but are there no local stockists of On-One Frames and Forks in SA? I've been looking at them for a while now and it seems the only way to get one is to import direct from the UK.
  4. I've been manning up since the conversion it's actually not a problem, I'm happy with the ratio's but then we don't have massive climbs here in Lion Land, I'm looking for something bigger for races like Sani.
  5. Well if you consider the cost of an XX1 cassette is around R4K this still works out cheaper and if you're running 10 speed this is your only option unless you want to hack together a cassette using a front chainring which I've seen some guys do but its not pretty.
  6. Awesome, I'll check it out, any idea if there is a local stockist?
  7. When I rebuilt my Cannondale I wanted full XX1 but Easton didn't have the 11 speed freebody's available yet so I went with an XX1 Crank and running 10 speed on the back (combination of XX and XX1), worked out quite cheap actually because the XX1 cassette is huge bucks and I didn't need to buy that. Granted I don't have the same gearing that you'd have with the full XX1 setup but for the races I do its fine. Would be awesome to see someone come out with a 11-40+ 10 speed cassette.
  8. Thanks for the info, if I'm not mistaken the F7 is to replace the F50. I'm not keen on the Nespresso purely because of the price of the pods.
  9. I’m looking to get a coffee machine and have read through quite a bit of this topic, I’m looking at the Jura F50 or F7, prices seem to be R10944 and R11685 respectively which seems to be the going rate was wondering if anyone has spotted it cheaper maybe or perhaps you could recommend an alternative brand that is similar to these?
  10. I think if they were hiding something they'd be a little more reluctant to make this suggestion in the first place. He's put it on the table, the ball is in WADA's court.
  11. Amen to that! I wasn't going to comment, but I noted earlier in the forum topic someone had taken an extract from Froome & Brailsford's press conference yesterday and the extract on its own can very easily be taken out of context (which it has been), so I'll take the bit that was omitted and to the doping experts and arm chair critics, if this isn't proof enough that SKY have nothing to hide and aren't willing to try prove as much then nothing is! Here it is.... Brailsford demanded to know from his audience of more than 100 journalists whether they could come up with a foolproof way for Team Sky to prove that their riders were clean. “You tell me, what could we do so we wouldn’t have to answer the same question over and over?” His suggestion was to share the team’s power data information with the World Anti-Doping Agency but not the public, thus protecting the team’s professional advantages but also making them subject to scrutiny. “They can have everything we’ve got, they can come and live with us, they can come and dig up all our information, they can see all out data, have access to every single training file we’ve got and then they can compare the training files to the blood data to weight. “Wada would be a body with the right expertise to analyse that data and then they can tell the world whether it’s credible or not.”
  12. Its actually sad that Froomes amazing performance is over shadowed by doping allegations, I understand where they stem from but its still crap, he's being judged purely because of the sports history which isn't fair. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? I hope I never have to eat humble pie but I believe he is clean.
  13. Seems everyone missed a similar incident with Sagan the other day, probably because no one went down, its part of sprinting, there will be bashing and barging in a bunch sprint, Veelers was job done and should have moved off the line with only 200m to go, perhaps he stayed there intentionally? Look closely at his bike in relation to the white line and then tell me only Cav was to blame, they both moved off their line at the wrong time, there was a left hand turn and Cav had to go left to get on the wheel, it was a dangerous sprint to start with!
  14. I'm covered with Outsurance for my bike, have claimed once and had no issues with them, I actually think they're pretty good although their may be a bit high.
  15. Looks like its on DSTV this Sunday at 7pm http://www.dstv.com/Search/?searchterm=Cycling's%20greatest%20fraud&section=all
  16. Damn I missed this, will have to wait for it to air again, cant find a download for it
  17. I'm guessing his account has already been closed, maybe he'll come back as Pina_Dealer
  18. Thanks, looks like its confirmed at 73mm then. The Q-Factor I know needs to be 168 but 164 also works.
  19. Thanks, even though this is the "standard" some manufacturers from what I understand deviate from the 73mm standard so I just wanted to make sure.
  20. Thanks.
  21. Now that was helpful! I know its a BB30 Bottom Bracket, that doesn't mean the BB shell is a fixed width, it will be either 68mm or 73mm I'm trying to work out which it is.
  22. Anyone know if the BB width on a Cannondale Flash Carbon is 68mm or 73mm? I don't have my bike with me so cant measure and Google search comes back with conflicting reports.
  23. Um didn't he die from a cocaine overdose?
