  7. Nice. Needs a portable grinder though.
  8. Head tube on a L frame is 120mm. Add a little bit for the headset cups, then about 40mm or so for a stem plus the width of the spacers you want to fit. I'd say you're looking at no less than 210 - 220mm. Measure carefully. Edit: Just measured my M. I'm at 160 - 165mm with a 5mm spacer on top. Top head set cup is about 10mm and med head tube is 110mm. 120mm head tube 10mm headset cup 40mm stem plus spacers...
  9. Yeah - I did wonder about this. I run it on a 1x setup, a bottom pull setup and a SS so haven't had to worry about this. Good luck with the SS. They lighties get heavy quickly on the SS .
  10. Nice frame. As buyers of the first frames we got to choose our serial numbers . Although this was presented to Butch for the 2014 Epic, so a little after the first batch was sold, it was a frame left over from this initial batch. Cool head badge to have.
  11. These are not meant to clamp on to the seat post. They clamp onto the seat TUBE. I think Wayne experienced the same problem as me - on a MTB with a sloping top tube there isn't enough space to clamp the rack high enough on the seat tube. It works perfectly on my CX bike - so bikes with a top tube that is more parallel to the ground work well (there's a longer seat tube to work with). Once clamped and fitted to the frame the bottom of the seat needs to be at least 80mm from the highest point of the tyre (gap between tyre and lowest point of the seat needs to be at least 80mm). The seat bobs a bit through bumps and offroad surfaces so if this gap is any smaller it touches the tyre - interesting when on the move!!! Not to be fitted to carbon frames. Great, secure seat. So if you can fit it to your frame it's a great buy. Easy to fit and remove too.
  12. City streets before Drak Descent this weekend.
  13. Like I said - 'tough' day in Africa . Was a bit of an afkak up there. Had to let the bike bounce it's way through. I stopped just before where I took this photo, having come up a stretch of similar rocks - at this point there was a wash away on the left and this big rock on the right, I bailed. Took the photo. Walked a bit further and got back on at a sandy patch just in front on the left. Not ideal conditions for the wheels (I didn't let down the tyre pressure - was worried about dinging the rims and had another 40 odd kms to do which I didn't want squishy tyres for). The sand isn't too much of an issue - just need to expect that it will cut in deeper than a mtb but it gets through quickly. The unending railway gravel on the section before and after the tunnel was tough going.
