Been through Botswana where I learned to plug like a mofo. At times my tyre had more thorns than rubber. Keep on plugging the same hole untill its sealed. In other words, use more than 1 plug per hole. If the hole is more of a cut than a large hole this will probably not work.

My stuff is still fine after the a bunch of training rides at places like Groenkloof and a Xterra, Valentines dirt ride and MTN Clarens (which was 80km of grinding mud). My FD was bent after Clarens which was then just bent right again. Where and how far do you ride that stuff needs to be raplaced/repaired after every 3rd ride?

A friend of mine wants to do the Baviaans and our team is full. He is looking for someone who can join him or a team that isn't full yet. He recently started MTBing because of a running injury which cancelled his Iron Man 2011 plans. I dont think he will be looking for a podium position. We're in PTA. Put in some reading hours and educate yourself. I've seen very dodgy supplement advice on the hub. Read unbiased articles and not what supplement brands write on their websites. Dont try and figure out if "USN" or any brand is what you need. Go and look at individual products, what they do for you and how their ingredients compare to competing product from other brands. You might find that 1 brand has the protein that you want and another has the endurance product you want.

My brother and I also found him to be VERY rude. Other people at buycycle had a better attitude, but it still makes one hesitant to go back.

How many pure WHEY ISOLATE products do you see on the shelf? Read the label. They contain Whey concentrate also.

Also saw them on Buycycle. Havent read up but I assume you wont be able to use garmin files on them. Its quite a draw back if you wont have access to all the local routes as you do on a garmin.

I had a mix of the 2 once and it formed a nice ball inside which wobbled at high speed and obviously stopped sealing holes properly. Cant say with 100% certainty that it was because of the mix but thats the only time I've experienced it...
