  1. What's your issue with the tyre?
  2. Forgive my ignorance, but what is the process for opening a case against someone for fraud. Do SAPS investigate and prosecute? I cant imagine so but I'm none the wiser in this regard.
  3. Why after you accepted money from at least 2 interested buyers, which is already a red flag, did not one of them receive the goods? You sir, are scamming.
  4. This. They'll even give you a further discount if you ask nicely.
  5. Okay so the 245 music was R7k when it came out a few years ago, 255 music is R8k. Not too crazy
  6. Don't know much about the 700 series but as for the 645, that will probably be the last of that line as the Forerunner 255M can do everything that the 645 can do.
  7. US website: MUSIC ON YOUR WRIST Download up to 2,000 songs plus playlists from your Spotify, Deezer or Amazon music accounts (subscription may be required).
  8. Appreciate how Garmin takes the features omitted from the previous generation that were reserved for the more "pro" models and adds it the new generation. The FR 255 with Pay, Triathlon, Multi band now is really great. It's good to see that they push features along over to the new gens while still maintaining price laddering. Also, am I reading correctly that the FR 255 has multi band GPS but non sapphire Fenix 7's do not? Weird... 🤨
  9. Or drop bars so flared that it becomes normal handlebars.
  10. Thanks! City centre
  11. Which walk in shop sells 1L or 5L Enduro Seal close to Cape Town city centre? Already have the applicator from a previous purchase(Bike Mob) so dont need the bundle with that added. I know Sportmans sells but they're more expensive comparatively speaking.
  12. Not a fun situation to be in, but if they're lekker people to actually ride with and you wish to continue being riding "buddies" with them, you're gonna have to have the chat about the bill and put your foot down about your intentions on going dutch, and that you wont be paying more than what you owe. It's a awkward convo to have but you'll only have to do it once. It's okay to continue being riding buddies with people and not actual buddies. You dont have to love everyone, but you can learn to tolerate them for the sake of the ride, if the rides are good.
  13. Cover of user manual looks like its possibly Chinglish, but im keen to check it out. What's the runtime on them?
  14. If you referring to wanting to remove this screw part: You can actually just use a 25mm(I think) multi socket like this, it fits in the ridges:
  15. Got a Regent moka pot and I've used a mates Bialetti, much of a muchness between the two, go for what your budget allows. The Bialetti is better made and more solid in comparison, but the coffee yield was much the same.
  16. This. Or Forerunner's 45 or 245 which are more "modern." Plenty on Marketplace. Don't need a dedicated bicycle computer if you plan to run and bike and HR/Distance is all you care about. Also get a Heart Rate Monitor (if you can) for accurate readings if you do go the watch route, the optical hear rate sensor on all Garmin watches aren't particularly great...
  17. Two questions, 1. Would you prefer a light that is rechargeable or one that you can put batteries in? 2. What's your budget? Good price, but requires batteries, if you have rechargeable batteries then I would get this for basic road running: https://www.takealot.com/petzl-headlamp-tikkina-black-250lm/PLID69348016?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI99nYvMuR9wIV4YBQBh2BEgKLEAQYASABEgLgHfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Then, if you want a good light with a built in battery, then your budget will need to stretch a little (In order of preference): https://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/nitecore-nu32-headlamp-650-lumen https://www.takealot.com/black-diamond-spot-lite-200-headlamp/PLID71832754 The brands I know of that are popular that you should keep an eye out on are Black Diamond, Petzl, Nitecore and Led Lenser.
  18. Run Store in cape town lets you demo their shoes. Chat to them, lovely staff over there.
  19. Card takes longer than EFT to clear? huh? So PaySlow basically....
  20. So... About that power outage cape town, hope everyone's e-bikes are already charged...
  21. I think since the rental electric scooters started flying up and down the prom, and sometimes almost taking walkers out, people must have gotten gatvol and requested anything with wheels to be axed. Those scooters are bloody fast, can see why walkers may be intimidated...
  22. I'm aware there's a group that commutes inbound in the morning, any outbound groups?
