  1. nope they not available yet, they will pop up here when ready http://www.spectrumsport.co.za/ViewResults/2012MountainBiking.aspx I'm guessing they trying to fix the stuff up the ensued when they let half the rider short cut along the road and save 20/30 min on those that had to wait in the bottle neck near the finish
  2. I dont know about that hey, If your not in A or B batch and if there are as many people as there were today, congestion could be a total nightmare I must say I was not impressed with today's event, the first bottle necks I can understand were sort of unaviodable, but that last one along the single track with the ramp and broken bridge could so easily have been avoided had the organizers kept us on the main road rather. lastly to the guys jumping the ques, I didnt see one of you on the podium at the end, so wait in the que like the rest of us next time, you inconsiderate A holes. Ok rant over. one good thing I guess is that the sport is growing looking at today's numbers, so the nissan series definitely has its place I guess.
  3. any of the guys here in hub getting together here at the Nissan?
  4. Dont worry you'll see how everything works when you get to the venue actually pretty self explanatory, they generally have danger tape boxes with big letters at the entrances to the start chute.
  5. no definitely we must organize a groenies ride, I'll look at my timetable and we can organize something, will PM you.
  6. yip that it is, depending how it goes might not do this series again next year, routes seem to be getting easier to accommodate the larger field of riders, but cant blame the organizers if they were to add more technical as well as single track sections it would turn into a total night mare, and the congestion is also becoming hectic. but I guess its good for the sport as a whole that more people are getting involved , plus we're spoilt here in gauteng there are so many races to choose from
  7. come on mike, we know you want to do the 70km with us
  8. I really hope so, going to be my last race before going into exams for the next 2 months then its back off to northern natal were there aren't too many races during November December. I've got a feeling its gonna be quite a fast race and busy as hell, apparently its the biggest nissan race to date looking at last years results winning time was 2:15 for the 70, and was 15min faster then the winning time for tiger valley that same year which was also a very fast route
  9. there allot of races they haven't added yet, still waiting on 1 x Voriberg, 1 x Babba's Lodge and 1 x Miway Big5 race
  10. Just got my seeding e-mail. managed to move up to D batch for the 70, I'm guessing everyone else should be getting theirs soon if not already?
  11. I think thats mainly because people will most of the time buy their bikes from the LBS, which is a large value and other parts and spares overseas due to savings
  12. Must agree with you on that, Frame looks really good
  13. I've got a feeling this is going to turn into a popcorn thread. although in a way I feel what the OP it trying to get at, for a cycling forum, allot of other **** gets quite a bit more attention then cycling related stuff. but then again this is "thehub" which is quite an interesting place to say the least.
  14. your team doesn't need a veterinarian on it by some chance? will be qualifying in 2014 and will be happy to send a CV
  15. apparently the normal green slime also works as part of the mix, havent tried it personally though. I just use the cheap stuff you get at sportmans, game or makro. one R40 bottle (350ml) makes close on 1.5L sealant
  16. Hi guys I get it from bidorbuy here is the link to their 1L bottle have used about half in the last year, and change selant about once every 2 months. http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/72817385/Dala_Casting_Rubber_Liquid_Latex_1L_Bottle.html just seach "liquid latex" from any of the bidorbuy pages
  17. I think the OP is talking about making his own tire sealant? or at least thats what I understand
  18. well I currently use the following 1 part liquid latex (dala) 1 part cheap tire sealant 2 parts water cost comes to about R40 for 500ml here is a link to a long thread on the topic, give it a read and you'll get the idea of what you need to use http://forums.mtbr.com/29er-bikes/best-tubeless-brew-406115-58.html
  19. Admin please this is a good idea, and possibly add a size option to your filter, to be able to filter ad's not just on price and location but also SIZE
  20. I'm guessing it would be like driving a Lamborghini and wearing Ferrari clothes?
  21. if your talking about collecting your number board and stuff from your pre-entery then they normally have a collection point on the day, but dont expect a goodie bag, they always seem to run out. But if your talking about paying for the race you need to pre-enter online, there wont be on the day enteries
  22. I'm guessing he probably means rim strips
  23. hmmmm interesting concept. but how practical will it be? whats to say if you drop it, it goes off? plus it would be a once off thing I'm guessing and cost a boat load of money, if car airbag prices are anything to go by? but still quite like the idea, looks like it would give better protection then a standard helmet.
  24. I know this might be a stupid question, but do you not possibly know the model and year of the bike they came off? to do a spec search on the bike any maybe find some info on the wheels that way?
  25. I must agree with you here, Naas please let us know who the guilty person is, for the sake of us that buy stuff here in the classified's.
