  1. you guys go through so many energy gels ? I only use gels in races, when I can't carry enough carbs in my bottles. I also do some of my training rides on white sugar only, the big sessions in intensity or duration (or both) on enduren carbs mix and only add the gels in if I need to add some caffein and/or need some extra carbs to maintain my target carbs/hour.
  2. yes, Ciovita's only held until I washed them once, the aerostore ones survived multiple washes and still hold. But don't use them on every day rides, because eventually those silicon bands inside that make them hold won't stick as much. Then you must use tensospray to make them stick
  3. Their aero socks are the best value out there, haven’t tried the stickers
  4. At the moment it rains even when there's no rain on the forecast, so hoping for no rain when it's forecasted is optimistic to say the least 😅
  5. Spotted on suikers a couple of days ago
  6. that bora one is a 50k paintjob 🤣
  7. When I see a BMW I think about how many bikes I could buy with that money I drive cheap cars and ride expensive bikes 😅
  8. I wonder how many of these will sell.. you can buy two 10R cruz or diverge for the price of this bike (or even better, one of each). Even the S-works with all the bells and whistles are 20-30k cheaper... and they are expensive bikes already. And for that price you can only run 45c tyres...
  9. ahah that downhill is hectic, especially after heavy rains, there will be ruts really willing to send you over the bars. Regardless, nos matter how bad the conditions are a gravel bike is the tool for the job. The time you'lll "lose" on the descent will be gained quickly on the rest of the course
  10. I have a garbaruk cage that I bought by mistake for my GX AXS, you can message me for photos, I've tried adapting it to fit the GX but didn't work out, it should still work on your RD, providing you still have those Jockey's (because I'm using the wheels on another Garbaruk cage on my gravel bike)
  11. wow you're the boss, hope the owner sees this !
  12. yeah, mywoosh supports offline mode, and it does reconnect you after a drop, sometimes more succesfully than others, but the fact that in Indie your onscreen data keeps going as if nothing happened but it's all lost in the end is confusing and disappointing. Luckily I always double save on my Wahoo just in case. Just frustrating to see that elevation/distance gone 😅
  13. Mac, for some reason all the Macs I've had have recurrent wifi drops, no matter how close to the router you are. I'm actually plugged in for work to avoid that, but can't do that in my garage where I train. As per the fit file, I didn't check today and uninstalled all those games from my laptop, but last time it happened even in my rides history in the game only the first 35mins appeared despite the fact that I carried on and finished a 2 hour activity..
  14. I had the same thing again this morning on a free ride, I think it's when my wifi drops, it decides the ride is over without telling you anything. You keep riding, your numbers keep increasing, but your ride is already saved where your connection dropped. So not the same thing that happened on MyWoosh in the end. I'll stick to watching Youtube while training on the IDT
  15. I got the same problem on sunday as I did on myWoosh where I join a group ride, and at some point the game decides the ride is over and saves the file. And if I continue riding, everything I do passed this point is lost. Seems like a very dumb thing to do ? Is there a setting in IndieVelo to prevent that ? Pretty sure zwift had a button after a race or event to "keep riding" or something, and it would save the rest of the data in a separate file ?
  16. I change my KMC chains at .25 and that's at about 2 000 km (possibly a bit less considering my crux is at 7000km and I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th chain). So say if you want to take them to 50% and you don't do torque intervals or a lot of hard riding on it, you should be able to get 5 000km out of a r1k chain
  17. It gives me even more reasons to ride the gravel bike every day 😅
  18. Yeah, went as low as 2° this morning on my way down to town, but with enough layers it wasn't a problem, still much better than sitting on the IDT....which looks like it's going to be tomorrow morning
  19. Pitty that cassette is only 46T considering many gravel racers use mullet setups with 10-50 or 52 cassettes, I really don’t get the point of bringing that extra gear and making it 1x specific but without expanding the range. but damn those brakes… i ordered a set while I was in france, then cancelled my order when I remembered my insurance wouldn’t insure items without an invoice in rands. Would love to see a pair of those on my crux 😍
  20. Looks cool ! Too bad I already sold my soul to the UAE with mywoosh 🤣 Will give it a try !
  21. Hatherly leaving it all out there, come on man let's go !!!
  22. Nevermind, that is absolutely awesome :
  23. So I've installed this morning, because there's no way I'm paying the price for Zwift for what it brings to the table (I've never paid so much for a video game). I must say I was expecting to spend 30 mins trying to link everything and get it to work, like it usually is with Zwift, but everything connected 1st time. Good start ! Anyways, so how does one load their workouts from TP ? There is an option to link your TP account, but it looks like it's only to push the rides there, not really to import the training plan/workouts ? Meaning you must create your own every time ? Previously on Zwift, if I was in a rush to do a specific workout, I'd just load road to sky and do it there, looks like on MyWoosh "el limonar" is the best way to do that ? Why would they only open some of the worlds on specific days ? (like that endurance climb ?) Never understood that with Zwift either, especially with Zwift, where you pay but can't access all of the content.
  24. Absolutely not blaming DD. It's the gravel monster Org in my opinion. They were moaning about numbers last year, and this year they decide to pick the same weekend as an OG event (not to mention very well rewarded in terms of seeding) that everyone racing bikes will attend, wether it's on the road, gravel or MTB. Right now I'm seriously considering skipping Gravel Monster, it's a tough enough race for a weekend already. I'll decide closer to the time if I'm skipping DD rather, but don't see myself doing both
  25. not to mention Gravel monster being the day after durbie dash...
